Over half the traffic was gone on the 210 freeway today... the federal employees like to stay packed on the freeway. they are probably paid either way, if they at work or sitting in traffic.

I say keep it shut down, leave the freeways clear for the real workers.

Shame on you for living in commifornia :) j/k

Sure hope the government stays shut down indefinitely. They aren't wanted, or needed.

and how much tax gleaning it must cost to support their addictions... How much better off the working class would be without them.

This says a LOT! And this is only one agency.

Just 6.6 percent of EPA employees are 'essential' Are fewer than one of every 10 Environmental Protection Agency (http://washingtonexaminer.com/section/environmental-protection-agency) employees essential to its work?

Only federal employees classified as “essential” can work during a government shutdown. At EPA, that means just 6.6 percent of its workforce (http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/09/30/us-usa-fiscal-epa-idUSBRE98T12E20130930), according to Reuters.
Of the agency’s 16,205 employees, a mere 1,069 will work through the shutdown. That means that taxpayers employ 15,181 people at the EPA who are “non-essential.”
Because of the shutdown, the EPA will not be able to work on the rules requested by President Obama (http://washingtonexaminer.com/section/barack-obama) in his climate plan, but Dina Kruger, a consultant and former climate change director at the EPA, said the agency would be able to complete the rules on time. It might just have to “work a little harder” once the shutdown ends.

The .gov folks here don't have anything to do now, so they come in and drink beer.

Works for me.

I'm no .gov fence post but if I lived close to you and all that beer I'd be broke, lmao. It's a shame you can't charge them double.
