Pastor of local conservative mega-church instructed to...STFU

There's a local 501(c)(3) church that got started in a shopping center about 20 years ago and has been build up into this huge edifice. Hundreds if not thousands are in this church's congregation. I recently heard from someone with an inside track on this church that the pastor of this 501(c)(3) church was instructed "...do NOT speak of the Affordable Health Care Act in anything other than glowing terms..."

A 501(c)(3) isn't really a church. How can a creation of the state be a bride of Jesus?? ???
