How One Tiny Change (Designed by Marines) in How You Tie Your Boots Could Change Your Year Oct. 8, 2013 11:53am Liz Klimas (http://www.theblaze.com/author/elizabeth-klimas/)

The time it takes to tie your shoelaces is probably so minuscule that you don’t even think about how you could make it faster. But for members of the military or others wearing lace-up boots, saving seconds on this piece of attire could be important in situations where they count the most.
Designed by Marines, the patent-pending TacLace (http://www.taclace.com), is a simple device that helps reduce boot lace tying by about half the usual lace-up time.

“A combat deployment shed light on yet another reason why getting your footwear on faster may be important. These could be critical seconds to get to safety, or to get on your feet and ready to act. In either case, make those critical seconds count,” the TacLace website stated (http://www.taclace.com/about/).
Watch this comparison video:
The creators even made sure the laces fit within military uniform requirements, regardless of the branch of service.
Eric Davis for The Loudout Room did the math (http://loadoutroom.com/7219/taclace-innovated-shoelace-technology/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheLoadoutRoom+%28The+Loadout +Room%29) and found this equates to:

You will lace your boots 2 times a day, 5 days a week for 48 weeks a year
The TACLACES saved the guy on the right about 30 seconds, or 1 Minute a day saved
Multiply this by 240 days and divide by 60 and you have saved your self 4 hours, or, half a day per year

“These are amazing, fast and incredibly innovative. How has no one thought of this?” a Marine sergeant said, according to a TacLace testimonial (http://www.taclace.com/testimonials/).

yes, but the US Marines have TV shows like NCIS - where the US troops are benign, and it's always local 'insurgents' killing women & children - to convince Americans that US troops are "fighting the good fight".

"Haha.. you fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is: Never get involved in a land war in Asia."

This kinda reminds me of what Mark Twain said: A lie gets half way around the world before the truth can get its boots on. Well, maybe now the truth has narrowed the gap?

New LPC (Leather Personnel Carrier) technology?
