1) What corporation has personal "loyalty" towards their so-called retail human resources?

2) Who's gonna rush to hire some fired 50+ year-old woman in this economy?

all stores are doing this . they dont want the shoplifter to start a fight in the store and get someone hurt are killed this is the new norm

I worked for a short time for a major automotive parts and service retailer a few years back. In spite of the fact that they seemed to be obsessed with theft, they were very clear about policy when dealing with shoplifters: NEVER go after one yourself.

This policy didn't really apply to me, as I didn't work inside the store... they only things people were going to steal from me were tools, and they wouldn't have made it out of the parking lot... unless it was in an ambulance.
