Ah yes, elements, I seem to recall reading about what God said would happen to them

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

The day of the Lord is the 7th trumpet sounding. The last trumpet. Nobody is expecting Him, so His return is like a thief in the night (unexpected).
Its unexpected because everyone without wisdom already thinks Hes returned when in fact they are worshipping the fake Christ, the devil who goes by the names such as satan, lucifer, the serpent, the wicked one, the lawless one, the son of perdition, "death" and so on and so forth.
The elements are the wicked people of this world.....including their evil works......they are consumed by fire (melting).........they are literally destroyed.....uncreated....as in no longer exist as a human being!
