Intriguing, but too vague. I take it this was the segment where the public can take the mic for a few minutes each? What was the full gist of your spiel? If it was "truthy", I'd say U should have stuck around and made yourself available for the chit chat after the meeting ended, so that those who knew what u meant, or whose curiosity was piqued, could come pick your brain. I'd trust you to sniff out the disingenuous jooz amongst them, ;)

I recall Boulder CO used to broadcast their city counsel meetings on a "City Channel" or some such. So u could potentially be reaching a much broader audience than the physical persons at the meeting.

Pat? thanks for your comment, I just spoke with Agnut and he also told me to write what I told the town's council meeting, surprised to say that with exception of the the towns attorney every ones was there.......ok, here we go.

First came the sheriff to tell us about the past month crime (he is there every month), then came a guy about tennis lessons in the park, then came another guy about settin up a water founting for the kids to have water pistol fights, then another guy about building a new shit hole in his propery and then it was muy turn.

By the time that it was my turn from the 15 people that were there at the beginning of the meeting there were only three, all council members still present...... Ponce takes over the mike, ehemmmmmmm.

"My name is so and so and my home address is so and so and I am from Cuba, I have been living in this town for the past therting and half year plus 12 days........as all of you should know we are now entering a very dark period in the history of the US....in order no to offen any sensitive ears that we have here today instead of saying WHEN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN I will call it THE EVENT.

The event in Cuba has now lasted for over fifty years but here in the US it will last for ever for the simple reason that we will never be again what we were at one time. Whats more, we will be regresing about one hundred to one hundred and fifty years into the past where we will have many small kingdoms till the end when we will have anywhere between five to seven states in the US.

In Cuba no one has guns so everything was done is a peacefull manner but here in the US just about everyone has a gun and that means that there will be blood running down the street........how bad will it be? ......All of you have food put way and you feel safe but as long as the peole in this town are not safe you will not be safe....remember that about three days ago the food stamp cards were not working in 17 states and there were riots and fights.....what will happen here in our town when the same thing happens and all the stores are empty?, Mr Olson, I asked of you the same question about two years ago, do you remember your answer?.........Mr Olson "I think that I told you that I was going to fix the problem as fast as possible", me "No, you did not, you told me that you would call the sheriff in Grants Pass to send some of their people over to fix the problem" here you will have people who are hungry and with no food for their kids and intead of food you are goin to give them bullets?, this is no way to run a town and you should not be sitting up there.......and you Mr Major, three times I have tried to make an appointment with you and you told me NO, what are you planning? are you going to se up your own kingdom or are you goind to help the HLS to enslave us?.

For six years I have worked on a plan to feed every one in this town, where there will be work for everyone and where they will have free medical care, free dental care, free pet care and many other free necesitive of life......but, we must work as one or we will die one by one......we are lucky that there is one road going thrue town that we can closed at any time and the many trails coming over the mountains are easy to defend, the time to make our plans is now and not after the event happens, the choice is yours........what have done to plan for the future?.....thank you.

No one said a word but three of the council members were leaning forward and everyone was taking notes, I have just painted a target on my chest and either something good or something bad will come out of this.

I wouldn't talk about prepper stuff with people unless its in an anonymous forum like this. Just act like a dumb sheep in public and keep a low profile.

In my view is we need to accept that most people are going to come kill/attack you if they know you have any preps during a collapse scenario. If you can get neighbors and family involved with you, that's great, but you have to be extremely cautious in who you tell and what you tell. Make sure you leave hints only another prepper would pick up on, and see how people react.

I've met other preppers here in Idaho like this. Part of my plan was to relocate to a place where there were a lot of preppers already established. My landlord confronted me about it when I moved in since he saw some of the stuff I was carrying in, I denied it at first acting like I didn't know what he was talking about, but then said he was cool about it since he was one too. We have a freeze-dried food storage company pretty close to here in the area. The local Wal-Mart has a sub-store inside of it for preparedness with freeze dried food buckets, water containers, and so on. Tons of other shops with preparedness supplies, so it's a big industry here. Plus there's tons of Mormons here.

I'm not saying you're wrong Ponce. I'm just going with what my gut tells me. I know you have a lot more real life experience than me. I just have zero confidence in the American people.

I am a council member in a podunk town. Most of the council members i am on council with could not give a Rat's ass about anything except doing the same thing which is nothing. Hurry up and get the meeting over.

We talk about preparing for emergencies but we rely on the county to provide emergency services if the need arises.

So basically, we as a town skirt our responsibilities and pass the buck the the next higher up. Sound familiar?

I gave up a long time ago trying to do any improvements or instill any sense of community because the people are lazy, content, and locked in their life loop . Basically, i am on the council for self abuse and to be the only one to oppose a motion on ocassion.

Good for you though for standing up for your convictions and ideas! Just remember that the nail that sticks up is subject to get hammered down especially with governments regardless if city, county, state..... You seem to be to good a person to let this happen to you.

Thanks guys.....better be carefull, my self ego is getting bigger ahahahahahahhah.......on the 12 of next month is the next council meetin and I will be there once again........my next step? to ask the local newspaper to print in the news that next month all preppers should go to the meeting.........one drop at the time will a bucket fill, I can only hope that I am the first drop in the bucket......while I am not an extrovert I am not afraid to confront anyone and that's what makes me what I am. You should never be afraid of someone that can go down, as you yourself can, with a cal 45 bullet in the chest.

Recall Ponce, how just 2-3 days after your 2011 guest appearance on GIM2.Joodeo-Masonry.Shill-A-Thon.ADL.gov's radio show, where you went into great detail about all your preps, home defenses, GPS coordinates of your silver (j/k :D) etc; you posted here about how the (ADL-dispatched..) sheriff car was cruising back & forth, stopping, etc by your house? I think you said you called them ask what the story was?

Well, safe to say,, you didn't "just pop up on their radar" with this recent meeting... add to that, you mentioned you'd spoken personally in the past couple years with city counsel peeps about your SHTF concerns.

I don't really know where to go next with those ^ observations; could turn out bad, or could turn out good... it's really unknowable! Depends on the nature of your community I guess, which you know better than any of us! :)

Pat? I only said what I wanted them to know and a lot has changed sinse those days.........I haven't seen a Sheriff car in my town in two or three months. Therere are about 30 cars in Grants Pass covered with dust, not counting the ones under the cover of the warehouse.

I will never know what I can do till I try......when I told the council "You have this and this and you have this and and three of you have a hiding place for most of your food", well, you should have seen their faces....is only common sense to know what a prepper have and what they are doing with it and if they are not then they are not preppers......you must learn to see something when you are not really looking for it and that's call instinct or gutt feeling.

Like I told them "If the town is not safe then you will not be safe", by saying this I was also talking about myself.......I will take the town up hill or they will push me down hill........but try I must.
