The mere fact that the government is feeding so many people points to the stark failure of that same government. A successfull government would do all in it's power to make sure it's citizens were free and independent, able to take care of themselves. Slaves get handouts. Free people make their own food and survive by their wits. We are a failed nation. Purposefully failed by those who have governed us.
