I think he should try videoing people in areas where there are existing visible cameras and point them out when they get pissed. Ask them why do they care if he does it too.

Back when California started arming the highways with cameras (8/10 years ago) I felt like I was the only one noticing them.

I watched them mysteriously spring up every night over probably a year as I drove from Orange county to Riverside. I counted '50' cameras from the 55 & 22 freeway area to the 91 in Corona. I told everyone that would listen, but no one seemed to care.

Some cameras were fixed, some scanned and moved, one was mounted on the bridge pylon at the 55/91 bend, at windshild level to capture your face image.
The news said they were for traffic control...yeah right.

People think all these surveillance cameras are for their safety. I always asked them, who do you suppose is watching you?
