If you had time to make one last haul of preps. Tell me what you would get first, 2nd, etc.

Me: gas everything up on the way to the grocery store. Once in the store, can goods 1st., bottled water 2nd. dog food3rd....take it from there_________

Either make a mental note, or write a list of things in order.
It is imperitive you are first to do this.

imo, you're already too late. Why don't you have those items now?

Job 1 for me: scoop up the kids & get everyone home pronto.

I do and most here do. It may be your last shot before the grocery stores are empty...why wouldn't you want to stock up more before the panic?

Aversion to flash mobs/traffic jams. Our safety is more important.

The public will be slower to realize what's happening. You will have time to load up if we find out first something has happened.
Don't forget to call family members and close friends to tell them to do the same.

I would recommend grabbing perishables before canned food. Fresh meats, produce, veggies, etc. I was living in CO years ago when a blizzard came in. The trucks couldn't get to the stores. After a couple of days, all the fresh stuff was gone. Empty shelves all around, no bread, no meat, nothing in the produce section. That was a big eye opener for me. Our JIT delivery system.

We forgot to add condoms to the list.

They say true love can happen during times of disaster. What else is there to do while hunkering down at night, who knows maybe the Swedish bikini team's bus might break down nearby, I'd want to be ready for that.

If it really is true love, why not have a kid?

You stumped me with this question. Seems my experience with 'true love' has only been temporary, but kids are permanent. I would want to raise a kid in the loving family, I was raised in, can't do that alone. Need a gal who would be there with me, every step of the way.

Israel is rattling the Iran saber again - and gas prices are low.

good time to fill up those gas cans - or to buy some gas cans.
