As Obama Asks If He "Should Be Worried" About Bitcoin, ATMs Arrive In 5 Canadian Cities
The world's first Bitcoin ATM will be ready for use this week at a coffee shop in Vancouver, Canada. Created by Las Vegas based Robocoin, the new ATM in Vancouver will allow users to turn bitcoins directly into Canadian dollars, or turn Canadian dollars into bitcoins. As The Telegraph reports, the ATM first scans the user's palm to ensure security and transfers are limited to CAD$3,000 per day. Until now, the currency existed only on the web but the introduction of these ATMs brings bitcoin-as-cash usage closer.

Bitcoiniacs says it has ordered five Bitcoin kiosks from a Las Vegas-based company called RoboCoin... and will be rolled out starting this week in Vancouver...
Four more kiosks will arrive in December and although their locations are not yet certain, Bitcoiniacs says it's eyeing major Canadian cities such as Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Ottawa
"Basically, it just make it easier for people to buy and sell Bitcoins and hopefully will drive the adoption of Bitcoin, and make it more accessible for people," says Mitchell Demeter, the 27-year-old owner of Bitcoiniacs.
...
Currently, acquiring Bitcoins is often done through an exchange, an arduous process that requires users to jump through several hoops, including linking their bank account to the exchange and sending in paperwork to verify their identity.
...
The RoboCoin kiosks are expected to make the process of buying and selling Bitcoins much easier says Jordan Kelley, the company's chief executive.
"Our goal is to make Bitcoin truly grandma-friendly," says Kelley.
...
Using a kiosk means you don't have to wait to verify your account on an exchange or hand cash to a stranger, says Kelley. It also makes Bitcoins more accessible to people by adding an element of legitimacy and increases liquidity in the market.
...
RoboCoin plans to ship out 10 to 15 kiosks to customers before the end of the year. The first one will go to Bitcoiniacs, says Kelley.
Demeter says many Bitcoin startups are gravitating to Canada because the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada — also known as FINTRAC — aren't as strict as regulators in the U.S.
"It's a lot more open up here, that's for sure," says Demeter.
Those last two paragraphs/comments are especially notable in light of President Obama asking Eric Schmidt if "Bitcoin is anything he has to worry about?"
Via Mike Krieger of Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,
Here’s a story recently related to me by a guest at a White House dinner, which included Google’s Eric Schmidt: The president, whose most important job is surely to protect the integrity of the monetary system, smugly asked Schmidt if Bitcoin, one of many growing challenges to currency hegemony, was anything he had to worry about.
- From a USA Today article titled: How CEOs are Clueless About Technology
If the above is accurate (and I have no reason to suspect it isn’t), it is priceless information on so many levels. First of all, rather than ask about Bitcoin in an inquisitive manner free of prejudice as a enlightened leader surely would, Obama is merely primatively wondering if he needs to “worry about it.”
Actually Barry, if you had any sense and foresight whatsoever you would be looking at it as a great opportunity. An opportunity for the nation to lead the way in growing the Bitcoin economy and shed the archaic, feudalistic monetary system we are currently enslaved under. However, since you work directly for the oligarch money manipulators themselevs, you are clearly and disastrously unable to see things in a more productive and beneficial way.
Second, as I highlighted earlier this year, Eric Schmidt had no clue what Bitcoin was when Julian Assange first mentioned it to him in a lengthy interview in 2011. The initial exchange went as follows:
Assange: On the publishing end, the magnet links and so on are starting to come up. There’s also a very nice little paper that I’ve seen in relation to Bitcoin, that… you know about Bitcoin?
Schmidt: No.
Assange: Okay, Bitcoin is something that evolved out of the cypherpunks a couple of years ago, and it is an alternative… it is a stateless currency.
So Obama is asking Schmidt for his advice about Bitcoin, when Schmidt had no idea what it was two years after it had been created and released into the wild. One bureaucratic control-freak asking another for advice. What could possibly go wrong?
More from the USA Today article:
The president surely believes his important expertise is in matters of policy, law and political machinations. But he is, too, the chief executive of the U.S. government, with its increasing dependence on digital performance. And, in that area, he seems a near-illiterate, or at least a big boob.
An older establishment that still regards technology as a back-office function, or infrastructure issue, or buyable skill set, vs. an emerging native digital establishment that sees technology as an end in itself, serving a customer base with ever-higher technology expectations and standards.
It is certainly a pertinent question: If the government can’t run an e-commerce website, how in the world can it process all the data that they are supposedly sweeping up to spy on outlaws and citizens?
Non-tech people, no matter their good intentions, can’t do tech, at least never as well as tech people do it. This is something ever-more evident to people steeped in daily digital life, as most Americans are. It is less clear to CEOs, many of whom are somehow still uncertain in their digital habits and reflexes.
Let’s just hope these clowns don’t grasp Bitcoin until it’s already way too late…which fortunately it may already be.

The piece of paper, or you scan it with your mobile phone to deposit what you paid for into your bitcoin wallet. Or you can use the ATM to "sell" your bitcoins to it and receive fiat.

You take a barrel of oil and modulate it into...
bits of electrical information...or electrical signals or waves that if you heard them...would sound like noise to you...and then lets say you want a silver coin?
you demodulate the bits of electrical information into a silver coin.
you see the problem yet?
imagine a bit of information as a magnet that is colored white on one side...and black on the other...if you apply an opposite magnetic force to the magnet...it will flip....and either show white or black.
now imagine you have to burn a barrel of oil to generate the power to flip the magnet.
like before you burn a barrel of oil...the magnet is black.
and once you burn it...you then acquire the power to flip the magnet to white.
so when your master looks to see what is going on
your lord knows you have burnt a barrel of oil.
Since your master has to account for all your interactions to supply the demand of the algorithm it is following and leading you to the logical conclusion of.
The more information you supply...the greater resolution your master has and the easier the master can control you.

"Empath possesses the psionic ability to sense and manipulate the emotions of others. He can affect large groups of individuals at a time and can exert varying levels of empathic control over them, ranging from subtle manipulations that others are generally unaware of, to a complete negation of emotion that reduces them to a zombie-like state in which he can command them with little effort. His power operates by means of Empath's own brainwaves overriding the parts of the brain that govern emotion in others."
"Magneto is a mutant with the power to manipulate electromagnetic fields to achieve a wide range of effects.
The primary application of his power is control over magnetism and the manipulation of ferrous and nonferrous metal. While the maximum amount of mass he can manipulate at one time is unknown, he has moved large asteroids several times and effortlessly levitated a 30,000 ton nuclear submarine. His powers extend into the subatomic level (insofar as the electromagnetic force is responsible for chemical bonding), allowing him to manipulate chemical structures and rearrange matter, although this is often a strenuous task. He can manipulate a large number of individual objects simultaneously and has assembled complex machinery with his powers. He can also affect non-metallic and non-magnetic objects to a lesser extent and frequently levitates himself and others. He can also generate electromagnetic pulses of great strength and generate and manipulate electromagnetic energy down to photons. He can turn invisible by warping visible light around his body.[90] Another way in which Magneto frequently uses his power is the projection of force-fields which selectively block out matter and energy. These fields are strong enough to withstand the detonation of multiple thermonuclear weapons, hence Magneto is invulnerable to most harm when surrounded by his shield and can survive in deep space thanks to it. He can also channel his powers through his own body to increase his strength and durability far beyond human limits and has a baseline reaction time 15 times shorter than that of regular humans. On occasion he has altered the behavior of gravitational fields around him, which has been suggested as evidence of the existence of a unified field which he can manipulate. He has demonstrated the capacity to produce a wormhole and to safely teleport himself and others via the wormhole."

When I was a child...It was locked up in an institution...a special school...and I did not have a clue what was going on...other than the massive amounts of pain and suffering I was being exposed to.
And I wished to find the source of this invisible power of suffering...
for not supplying the demand of those that want power from me...or Yield.
Or victory.
I escaped by using consideration...because.
I was trapped...and cut off from everything except books...full of words that I could try to read...if someone told me to...or forced me to.
beat me to.
One day I forced myself to consider reading.
This was when I was 8...That is what rich people can do with enough resources...perform all sorts of experiments on people...But maybe those people in the past that appeared to be knowledgeable.
Were ignorant of what their manipulations of the universe were going to cause to happen.
The clock is ticking down now.
To what?
What it is always ticking down to constantly...if you are not ignorant.
The logical conclusion of the reasonable assumption.
The poverty line is the Bloch wall.
negatives or the poor in power can not operate above it without switching their polarity or thinking
While the positives or rich in power can not operate below it without switching their polarity or thinking.
Of course such things as invisible barriers that you all can not see...are meaningless to me because I know they exist.
Or barriers you think exist but don't.
You kill yourselves trying to destroy them dreaming you are winning...but losing the whole time and annihilating yourself.
since the power you use to wage war against illusions are derived from the illusions.
you are keeping the illusion you are fighting from dying...so you can enjoy yourself fighting it.
you cant live with it but you can not live without it.
Your struggle to break free powers your slavery.
Your constant struggle to escape annihilation powers your eventual annihilation.
That is Psionics as far as I can tell.
but then...who or what...has you trapped?
how about this...I will place you within a prison within a prison.
how long will it take you to eventually realize you are going to have to fly through lies like pains of glass shredding you faster and faster to break free from the hall of smoke and mirrors you all are trapped within?

Digital currencies look to take us to the cashless society 'they' have always wanted.
An iPhone to store/track/access your personal info and a biometric reader to verify/track/access your identity. And the best part, you asked for it and even begged for it.
Only question, who will have access to this info and what they will do with it.

There's just a couple problems with your theory.
1.) Bitcoins are completely Voluntary.
2.) NO CENTRAL ISSUING AUTHORITY!!
3.) No way to control it due to #2.
So how the hell is this a "bankers dream come true" when it's completely voluntary? You know damn well that if bankers created it they would legislate legal tender laws.
How is this a "Bankers dream come true" when there is no central bank? We all know bankers LOVE central authority when it comes to currency issuance.
How is this a "Bankers dream come true" when they are unable to control it? Rothschild famously said "give me control of a nations money supply and I care not who makes its laws". So with no central control or issuance how can a banker control that again?
I appreciate your skepticism, but it's not based in fact.

1.) Bitcoins are completely Voluntary.
A. If you wanted society to adopt a new system would you rather force it, or have society volunteer for it?
2.) NO CENTRAL ISSUING AUTHORITY!!
A. I know, I know, bitcoin is invincible! The elite have control over the entire world today. Everything is surveilled and monitored. Anyone, or country in the world that does not play their game is bombed in to oblivion. It just sounds crazy they would want to control bitcoin, or have the means to do so.
3.) No way to control it due to #2.
A. If you were locked into a dark cell, would you feel like you were being controlled?
So how the hell is this a "bankers dream come true" when it's completely voluntary? You know damn well that if bankers created it they would legislate legal tender laws.
A. The only thing we can be so sure of is, we can't be sure of anything.
How is this a "Bankers dream come true" when there is no central bank? We all know bankers LOVE central authority when it comes to currency issuance.
A. But there is a very powerful central bank. First they need you hooked on the new cashless system you volenteered for. Then they will take control. They will kill you if need be to take that control.
How is this a "Bankers dream come true" when they are unable to control it? Rothschild famously said "give me control of a nations money supply and I care not who makes its laws". So with no central control or issuance how can a banker control that again?
A. It should be worrying to you that you are this sure.
I appreciate your skepticism, but it's not based in fact.
A. I appreciate you optimism, but it's not based on reality
Ask yourself, in the last fifty years how many laws have been added, how many things are we charged for now that we weren't before, how much privacy have we lost, how many lies have we been told, how many lives are destroyed by government, how much more control do they have over people...how much more power have they taken.
Anonymity is almost gone.
The people you think you are getting over on with this digital currency, own the digital world and have unlimited resources. It's a good bet they will want to control bitcoin when the time is right.
Until then, grab as much profit as you can while you watch the world go down in flames.
It's going down either way.
Understand, I believe bitcoin will thrive...I just don't believe the end result will be what you believe.

Same as they control the gold market, but easier.
Not exactly, they control the gold market with paper derivatives and naked short selling to keep the price where they want it. It isn't public and is hidden in obscurity. You can see when they dump large shares on the market, but you can't tell who. With blockchain.info, and bitcoincharts.com you can see what address has done what. In that respect it's very transparent. Not so with the gold market. It's murky, and you have no idea who is doing what. There's always the speculation of who dumped the gold, but no one can pinpoint anyone. Just like 'they' want.
Look I get it, you don't trust it. But it appears you don't trust it because you don't understand it. If you did you certainly wouldn't be saying bankers control it, and go short / long the supply side like they do with gold because they are technically are unable to do so with Bitcoins without getting caught. Bitcoins are self regulating, and completely voluntary. They can try to outlaw them and I fully expect them to try. But they are unable to control them.

I've always backed up my debate with evidence, and the IDEA behind bitcoins. While you've provided nothing of substance. Other than to try and say it's banker controlled.
SHOW ME HOW THEY CAN CONTROL IT. I want evidence. Baseless accusations are bullshit.
Show me where I said they control it?
I did say they will control it when the time is right.
You keep saying "you don't understand it"...that's not an arguement.
Tell me what the government and bankers don't control. Uh, bitcoin?...what else?
The government controls and regulates the internet and they own cyberspace. The government is bound by no laws, you are! Google and Facebook are both CIA agencies.
I could shut down bitcoin in the US tomorrow if I had the power of government and you would lose your investment.
I'd rather control it though, so no transaction can be made without my cut and without my knowledge.
I know, I don't understand it.

Uh huh... sure. I asked for evidence and you deliver speculation.... Typical.
So how is the big bad government going to control a customer business transaction in Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, Russia etc.?? How is the big bad government going to regulate what a bitcoin miner does in China?
I ask for evidence, and all I ever get from you and horn is speculation. The government does not control the internet. They have certainly tried and its backfiring on them with this latest spying scandal where you have entire nations talking about cutting off Internet Access to the U.S.
You give them too much power and intelligence. I don't. I don't underestimate their duplicity. But I surely don't give them omnipotence either. You unfortunately seem to think they have the ability to control everything that happens.
That nice large NSA data center you referenced in your picture is having problems just keeping the lights on. By the time they get it fixed (Which could take a considerable amount of time with the amount of power they are trying to use) It won't matter. With the spy scandals, that come up daily, do you think they'll be able to harvest the amount GOOD and VALID data they had intended? You have groups of coders inserting bullshit meaningless data into the spy network to throw them off. They won't even be able to tell what is valid and what is bullshit.
Like I said, you give them far too much power and intelligence. Far too much than what they even deserve. The only thing they have is military hardware and force.

If your searching for evidence of weak hands, the truth is you need only look into a mirror.
I asked for evidence of Bitcoins being under banker control. Like I said, put up or shut up.
I never asked for evidence of weak hands. That's just more bullshit speculation on your part. But it's a pretty typical behavior pattern on your part. It's like clockwork in it's predictability.

Those are actually all brought up by the author of the bitcoin protocol before he released it. If you even bothered to read the white paper you could see it.
The protocol is open source, anyone is able to view the code of the bitcoin protocol and network where ever, whenever, and however they choose.
The government has tried to come up with ways to control it. Even putting out the FICEN report saying you owe taxes if you make a gain. But if you deal strictly in bitcoins what exactly is your gain again?

More baseless accusations and speculation. A test run with a currency they do not control, has no central issuing authority and are albeit currently have no real way of taxing it? Uh huh.... Yeah sure sounds like they control it to me.
News flash THEY ALREADY HAVE GOLD AND SILVER!!!!!!!!!! It's regulated to the point that they can crash it or pump it whenever they damn well please. What you and I, or anyone for that matter is a drop in the ocean of their hard asset reserves. It's fucking meaningless to even try playing the metals game WHEN THEY CONTROL IT!
Mick, they do not have guys and girls writing code for Bitcoin. You want to check the code yourself, you are free to do so.
https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin
There's the link to the Bitcoin source code. EVERYTHING all instructions that protocol does is listed right there in the source code. Show me one instance of the federal reserve being that open. Or even a single audit of ANY of 'their' institutions.
Bitcoin = Open and Honest (hardly a government or banker quality in the past 500 years of accumulated experience)
Gold and silver = banker / government controlled.
Federal Reserve Notes = Banker / Government controlled.
There's no winning with you people. Out of the examples listed above, which one shows all transactions in real time? Which one has listed the entire network protocol instruction set detailing what transpires during a transaction? Which one would show evidence of manipulation in a heart beat?

That's easy to counter in bitcoin or any other alternative digital currency. Generate a send from address each time you make a transaction and it becomes nearly impossible to track down who sent what to who. Put your wallet in the Tor network, throw in a tumbler service or 2 and you're a ghost.
A. Evidence: try an experiment...post something illegal on your internet and see how long it takes to get a visit.
As far as the spying scandal, you don't know anymore about it then I do. For all we know some elaborate agenda will be implemented before it's over.
Happens all the time, I'm not stupid enough to promote illegal activity. BUT....... That happens all the time in the Tor Hidden services area of the Tor network.
A. are you assuming that is their only data center. Guess what, there are others!
Not assuming at all, I know there are others. Hell while I was in the military there was an NSA data center on my base. No where near the size of that one, but it was a data center no less that did collect data.
Their unlimited financial resources are shrinking. The dollar 10 years ago made up for 72% of global GDP denominated trade. In 2010 that number fell to 60%. With it's decline and further bilateral trade actions between China, Russia and other BRIIC nations I can only assume it's shrinking even further.

That's beauty of Bitcoin exchanges. I can sell my bitcoins in whatever currency I want. Russian Rubles, European Euro's, Chinese Yuan etc. I can do the same with dollars, but not with the ease that I can when selling bitcoins.
For the hell of it, I sold .5 bitcoin for RUR (Russian Ruble) and when the market started climbing again I bought .7 worth of Bitcoin. Did the entire transaction over seas with no interference from the comfort of my home.
