Are you saying they don't have their hands in the central banks, international laws, oil and taxes on US off-shore profits in other countries?
Please stick to the US and on topic.

I am.. :) The IMF has it's hands in central banks international law, oil, and taxes. The IRS is an extension of the IMF.

"All wars are banker wars."

They don't have their hands in water rights outside the U.S. border.
They don't have their hands in space exploration since NASA had it's budget slashed. It's more international and private now.
They don't have their hands in Thorium nuclear reactor development.
They don't have their hands in REAL alternative energy solutions such as cold fusion.

So the U.S. is going to tell Russia or China what they can and cannot do with water that resides in their nations? I don't think so.

Did the star wars missle defense program end?
That was a weapons defense system, not space exploration. "Stay on topic"

Yes, they are suppressing it

Jeez EE_, way to ruin ximmy's beautiful post.

The only thing I can think of that .gov can't get their hands into is our own personal passions. They can't control what we enjoy and what makes us happy, because that's an individual thing. Take a surfer, for example, he's going to find a way to surf even if .gov tried to close the beaches, outlawed surfing, etc. Or painting, or hiking, etc. People will find a way. Even in the most oppressive gov environments, history has proved this.

Air:
EPA-Clean Air Act
Commercial use of air.

magnets:
http://www.forbes.com/sites/wlf/2013/10/23/the-federal-government-is-coming-for-your-magnets/ Anything might be taken under eminent domain however I was referring to the earth's magnetic field and the protection it provides from solar flares.

sunlight:
•The Solar Rights Act (civil code section 714) prohibits local governments from restricting the installation of a solar energy systems based on aesthetics. It is the intent of this law that “local agencies not adopt ordinances that create unreasonable barriers to the installation of solar energy systems, including, but not limited to, design review for aesthetic purposes.” Local authorities shall approve applications through permit issuance and can only restrict solar installations based on health and safety reasons. Again ... commercial uses of sunlight. Is your suntan regulated?

Anything found in nature is regulated in one way or another I read that 'is capable of being regulated once it has entered the commercial stream'.

indians:
Reservations were established by executive order Reservations were established by treaty, contract and conquest.
