Even if I do have a protective gas mask in my car at all time I now carry with me a pair of swimming gargles (the real small ones) and two nose and mouth filters.....I don't know why, I simply know that I should carry them in my belt case as part of my daily prep........... I always obey my instincts.
By the way, did you guys read the article about Canada getting rid of their pennies?.......and part of the article was...... "Will Canada get rid of ALL coins?".....if this line of questioning follows into the US then that would mean that ALL current US coins will become more valuable than what I predicted that they would be......why hell, all my coins would become more valuable than all my silver.

Not sure what you are asking Ponce, are you asking if a clad coin could be worth more than a silver one? There's so many clad coins out there and they really do not hold any metal value.

Hitcher?.......in what is to me ALL current coins will be worth more than paper dollar, and not only the copper pennies and the nickel..........people will need something to trade with and until the government "retires" all form of currency and go into the digi currency coins will be one way to trade with.....In Germany there were 144 printing presses printing the Mark but none were making coins and that made the coins more valuable.......and.....something that not many talk about?......the old Mark paper currency never lost its value so that it was like holding gold...........all my $100.00 bills are the old one that doesn't even have that numbered line going across the bill..........if I try to cash it now people would think that they are not real hahahahahahhahha.

Sorry Ponce but that's misguided unless you have a clean, uncontaminated safe place to go to. There is no place to run.

That's a good question Ponce, hopefully one that others will add their thoughts to. What I think, is that now everything is digital, the "printing money" isn't really printing it's pushing a button and poof digits are created. Which actually is much worse. It's possible there could be a huge disconnect between actual paper dollars and digit ones, meaning there's a separate cash price, that is much lower than the digital, swipe your card price. In that case, all cash would be king. Maybe coins worth more.
You might want to think about trading your old $100 bills in for newer, more recognizable ones.

Might be a good time to head to California with a Toyota pickup ... make Apple an offer they can't refuse?
http://news-hound.net/samsung-pays-apple-1-billion-sending-30-trucks-full-of-5-cent-coins/#ixzz2jKNAQGyP
This morning more than 30 trucks filled with 5-cent coins arrived at Apple’s headquarters in California. Initially, the security company that protects the facility said the trucks were in the wrong place, but minutes later, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) received a call from Samsung CEO explaining that they will pay $1 billion dollars for the fine recently ruled against the South Korean company in this way.

Paying a billion dollar fine with nickels?
I suspect a spoof in progress. Doubt if there are a billion dollars of nickels available in california.
Edited to add
A nickel is 5 grams. A billion dollars would equal 20 billion nickels. If a truck could haul 60,000 lbs then over 4,100 trucks would be required. Safe to say ... even the Koreans couldn't manage this many trucks for a principle.

The nickel is now worth 10.2 cents so that he actually gave away 2.2 billion dollars........changing my old bills for "new" bills?, the fact that they are old is what makes them priceless, after all, who is printing old bills? at least not yet....I am at my last stand that is my home so that I can protect my coins and my tp....I have between $10,000 and $12,000 worth of nickels.....I have never counted my nickels, pennies or my loose change........if I start counting them I would probably die before I finish counting them hahahahahahahahahahahah.

Ponce according to coinflation.com nickels are worth 4.5 cents right now.
And you're better off holding stacks of $1 bills instead of hundreds, for the increased tp factor.

I received some of the new hundred dollar bills at the bank today. I traded one and some twenties for a 1/10 gae at the coin shop. It was all they had except for a handful of Silver Strike casino coins. I traded another hundo for two boxes of Winchester 9mm hollowpoints at the range. Forty five bucks a piece. Ouch. I shot reloads. Lots of ladies at the range today. Another went to a 25rn mag for the 10/22 and a 16rd mag for the XD 9. Ammo prices were the same as the range. A little less for target loads. I noticed that prices for K98 Mausers are creeping up to the $900 mark. I paid $60 for mine at Big Five years ago.
