This is what happens when you ban guns.

Did he died?

I'm sure he's fine. It's just a minor head wound, they always bleed like that and people freak out. He's lucky he took it on the forehead instead of the eye.

Also, what is wrong with the slingshot design? The projectile ricocheted, that could have happened with any slingshot?

I'm sure he's fine.

A fractured skull does not = 'fine', and I have little doubt that he got a fractured skull from that.

I disagree, the skull is very strong. The shot probably just bounced off. Also the way he was acting suggests there's no bleeding in the brain, but that can change, so hopefully he's fine. I'd be willing to bet he just gets some stitches and sent on his way.

A Pachinko ball will go through the side of a '82 Ford LTD using a Wrist Rocket.

When I was younger (before the age of 10) my dad worked at a paint factory. You know those ball baring like things that sit in spray paint can and you shake it to mix it up? He brought home a 5 gallon bucket full of those. Suffice it to say my brother and I went through half the bucket in a summer with a wrist rocket. Birds, windows, bottles, various targets through out the neighborhood.

We took our share of ricochets, but nothing like that in the video.

Is that a tube pumping out fake blood?

Was that Jackie O filming?

I mean to say it's fake, the guy admitted to it.

Slo mo video of slingshot

Slingshot accident slowmo

There is a very convincing slingshot video doing the rounds at the moment. I have to say he did a good job with the whole thing.

However, slowmo captures the edit - just concentrate on the trees when the camera is falling over - about 30 seconds in on this slowmo version...
Nice bit of hidden fake blood being pumped from the other side of the head and hey presto. Hats off to the creators - Good job!

You do deserve the win, Horn. I'd like to claim second place though. I am grinning because my patient assessment skills are still there, and I could tell that dude was OK even with a bleeding, unknown to me, fake head.

Stay away from the pumpkin beer, Pete.

Your sensitive parts may become extra-sensory.

Do tell where you got your medical degree.

Have you ever had a fractured skull?

I accept that this particular video was a spoof, however the skull is easier to fracture than most will admit - if you haven't had one then don't be making out to be an expert.

I was an EMT. No medical degree, but I've patched up a few head wounds in the field. The human body may amaze folks how tough it can be, it's not like the movies.

Inversely, life is VERY fragile seeing how a man or woman can kill another or send them into deep shock with their bare hands in a matter of seconds (as well as detach all sorts of body parts, some which would utterly surprise those who lack knowledge of same). You may have been an EMT who 'patched up a few head wounds' however I can assure you that you haven't been exposed to a whole lot of things regarding how fragile the human body is (i.e. the so-called black arts). One night on a ride-along we rolled up on an old black man sitting in a chair on his front porch who had been insistent on gettin' sum from his wife (he threatened her with a shotgun in bed) - in one swift motion she had his manhood hanging at his knees. The cop I was riding with literally doubled over and nearly hurled when he shined his Maglite on the old black man's junk at his knees when the old fart stood up and opened his robe saying, "Look what she did to me!"

There's a big difference between a man's head and his privates. Yes privates are fragile and an evil woman can rip them apart. The head can take quite a blow though, I've seen head injuries much worse than depicted in this video, and the folks were fine. Then again, you can't tell from trauma either. I saw a dude drop because of internal bleeding, but no visible trauma whatsoever.

I'd hate to see what you saw, but ever smell a GI bleed? I've seen brain matter spilled all over the fucking roadway. The head tends to pop when there's major trauma. Guess that's why the call it a "grape".
