WTF is wrong with people??

I've noted a growing trend of assholes on the road, i.e. people who intentionally pace you (no matter how you change your speed) or speed up to annoy you and it appears to be getting worse.

Most recently what I've observed becoming more prevalent is someone driving 10-20 mph below the posted speed limit on 2 lane rural roads and when they roll up on the passing zones they INTENTIONALLY speed up (more like zoom up) to the speed limit or above the speed limit to thwart anyone behind them from passing them (it happened repeatedly with this one asshole yesterday, and I was the 2nd car behind him with the car ahead of me indicating he wanted to get around his turtle ass). Even worse, when you do move into the oncoming lane to pass them they fucking SPEED UP! even though there may be an oncoming car. It seems to me these assholes get some perverse satisfaction from annoying others.

FWIW, anytime someone indicates they want to pass me I completely let off the throttle at the very first opportunity to allow them to safely get around me.

It's all good, we're building up a 12 valve Cummins turbo diesel for my current project with a projected 400+hp/700-800+ ft/lbs torque - and I'm telling my mechanic specifically, "I want it to spool up FAST!" just for situations like this. Current engine is a V-10 Triton but it takes an inordinate amount of time to kickdown and I know the built CTD with the right turbo and turned up pump will do much better and therefore I can get the jump on the turtle ass mf'ers. As Carroll Shelby said, "Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races."

I've known some of them personally and I just don't understand it, at all. I know I'm a slow ass driver (usually just going the speed limit) but I'll go out of my way to get out of your way, pull over, slow down and motion to pass me etc. But there's always one person that won't pass and would rather ride your ass and must be looking for a fight, IDK WTF goes on in their minds.

This has happened to me many times. I think some folk are miserable and they need to cause suffering to others. They don't need a reason. I remember driving years ago with my brother-in-law in his truck. He was deliberately and viciously tailgating a woman in a compact car, maintaining insanely close 4-6 inch distances. I looked at him with a "WTF are you doing" look and he just smirked as if to say "I don't give a shit for anyone but me." The guy turned out to be one of the worst low life bastards: deserted his wife and kids for some pussy, arsoned his own house to collect insurance (insurance company figured it out, didn't pay out but didn't go after him), etc. My wife and I used to pay his mortgage and send money over to make sure my sister-in-law (who smoked herself to death at 54) and niece and nephew had heat, food and diapers. He never paid me back and never even said thank you. When my wife made all the arrangements for his ex-wife's funeral 'cause he was too busy fucking off, he was actually jealous! He wrote a note to my wife after the wake calling his sister all kinds of hateful names and hoping that she got cancer and died. Fucking asshole hooked up with a retired female cop and is living off her now.

lol... wherever you go here people are polite and will go out of their way, until they get into their cars/trucks. That is the trigger, the gloves come off and they would be a challenge for even Detroit drivers.
