Wi-Fi can now be harnessed and converted into energy; the health effects of the ubiquitous signals are still a cause for concern among many.
A high school project threw oil on the burning international debate about the adverse health and environmental effects of Wi-Fi radiation.
After 12 days of Wi-Fi radiation from two routers, garden cress seeds turned out stunted, dead, or mutated (showing genetic defects not present before the trial). By contrast, a control group of 200 seeds with the same conditions but no Wi-Fi radiation flourished. The study was conducted by students at Hjallerup high school in Denmark and made headlines in May.
In 2009, Austrian Health insurance company AUVA released a study linking Wi-Fi to adverse health effects, including cancer, reduced fertility, decreased ability to concentrate, and disturbed sleep. AUVA showed radiation levels well below the standard limits could impact the central nervous system, immune system, and protein synthesis.
The effects mostly occur in metabolically active cells (growing cells), which means children are at a higher risk.

The body uses electromagnetic signals to communicate between cells, organs and tissues. The radiation overlaps and interferes with the body’s internal communication, hence the havoc.
Many schools worldwide have adopted anti-Wi-Fi policies, and many countries—France, Canada, and India, for example—and have adopted anti-Wi-Fi measures and laws. The European Union passed an anti-WIFI resolution in May 2011.
WiFi was not tested before its release in 1997, because it uses an unlicensed part of the radio spectrum. Back then, radiation safety regulations focused only on thermal radiation effects, according to electromagnetic-pollution.com. So Wi-Fi was deemed safe since it did not exceeded radiation levels that result in thermal heating.
In the United States, the highest level of radiation allowed for cellular phones is 1.6 watts per kilogram. The AUVA report showed, however, that damage can occur at a level of 0.1 watts per kilogram.
If you want to limit your child’s exposure to Wi-Fi, you can use the WIFI auto turn off app (Apple users only), or switch of Wi-Fi altogether.
Harvesting Wi-Fi for Energy http://s2.djyimg.com/n3/eet-content/uploads/2013/11/meta-array.jpg

On Nov. 7, Duke University released (http://www.pratt.duke.edu/news/wireless-device-converts-lost-energy-electric-power) its five-cell meta-material array, a device that collects Wi-Fi radiation and converts it into electricity.
It works sort of like a solar cell and can be used to recharge cell phone batteries or other small electronic devices. The array is built from inexpensive materials—fiberglass and copper energy conductors on a circuit board. It can also be used to harness energy from satellite signals and sound signals.
The ability to harness these waves could be built into cell phones to help them charge wirelessly; it could be built into the ceiling of a room to capture Wi-Fi waves and convert them into energy.

Quick story. I've been unwell for the past 18 months. I've mentioned on here before I have been on a regime of Lispomal, soy lecithin + Vit C. Made a huge difference. I improved a lot but there are niggles. I've felt unwell in the gut, very tense and tight with the occasional stabbing pains. Other people who have visited with me have said the noticed the same things and we put it down to changes in the make up of food and particularly alcohol. Been taking other suggested things for good health and so on. Been pro active.

I did have in the back of my head that while I enjoy being at home I still feel ill at ease when I am there. But when I am not there I feel better after maybe 30 minutes. I feel the same in my works space. In both spaces I am in close proximity to high powered wifi. I had this strong urge to get out of dodge, out of the job, out of the house and out of the city, maybe move to the fringes.

I wondered about the wifi. I repalced an older device about 18 months ago with a new one capable of 300mbps. Anyway, a couple weeks ago I picked up a wifi security camera that would not work properly and the wifi network kept dropping out when this camera was on. I got some radio comms gear and I found I was picking up the pulses from the camera across a wide range of frequencies. My radios do not work on those wifi bands and are a long way from them but were getting swamped and you could hear the pulses. It was a lot of energy.

I'd read about the smart meter pulses and I didn't realise that the wifi, especially the higher powered stuff, 300mbps level are pulsing very rapidly.

I've been feeling particularly ill at ease the past 2 weeks with a lot of pain. The Point? I've turned off the wifi at home and work. While at home I noticed after maybe 20 minutes that things were less uneasy and after a while I was less tense more relaxed in the stomach. I thought, no way.

Anyway after maybe an hour I was really sure I could feel a difference. By this morning I am convinced. I will have to rearange somethings and probably will still need to run wifi regularly. I think I will try and run it on a schedule for 10 minutes at a time kind of thing for tasks that need internet. Then off again.

WiFi is not the main cause of original my health problems but I do think it isn't helping me feel or get any better. Anyone else feeling queasy when they are in close proximity to a wifi should try turning the wifi off for a while and see how they feel.

I might even try running the wifi on a lower setting, maybe a type b or g network. I don't need speed, just a connection. I had older wifi before and no issue that I recall. I'll stay with the current setup - no wifi, for a while and see before I start messing about.

I wonder how much the radiation absorption / exposure could be mitigated by earthing during sleep?

Some may say, well look at the plants in the study. I would say yep I can see the effects of close proximity to non-ionizing radiation is a hazard. However the plants were in a "walled" environment not subject to Earth's natural negative charge to draw away and neutralize positive ions.

It's something I've been thinking and contemplating after I watched a video that was posted here on the subject of earthing and the positive effects it has on the body. I wonder if it could also mitigate our daily exposure to EMF radiation?

Wifi affects me in the way that it is kinda depressing affect and its difficult to get inspiring thoughts coming in.

Too me the wifi affects our consciousness and cancels out areas of our higher mind.

i like to sleep earthed at night but getting high fields coming at us day and night may end up destroying our inner well being.

Why not just hardwire it?

Why not just hardwire it?

That's a good idea and that is what I have been doing past day. I've now cabled everything bar 1 bit of gear. I have also disabled wifi on all the gear so not only is nothing emitted from router but nothing from equipment to. I ran direct cables in some cases and in others I used a device that plugs into a house power socket and sets up a network using the house wiring. Ethernet over Power (EoP) (http://computer.howstuffworks.com/power-network.htm). Then I plugged some others around the place where I want to plug things into the network.

I have to say I am on day 2 of no WiFi and I feel excellent. I am going to play around with it over a couple of weeks and see what I can learn myself. I'll switch it back on in a week and see if I fell different. Kind of loathe to do it but worth testing a bit more. Then I might look at running things on the older slower protocols. I don't need speed just connectivity. My work space had a very old wifi, a type b. It was also on the other side of 3" walls. Never had issues with that in place but both the home and workspaces were upgraded to n x 300mbps and both within 3m direct line of sight. The work space one might have to go back on the other side of the 3" wall.

I'll be paying attention to the plants as well and see if they improve, the ones close to the wifi emitter

the other part of this story that Serpo posted is kind of the elephant in the room isn't it? That Tesla was just, well he was right wasn't he. Energy is all around us and can be harnessed. These guys are talking about man made EMF and the only real difference there is the frequency. Its a higher frequency with smaller wavelength than most natural occuring EMF, although there is a lot of natural EMF that is in those ranges and higher, usually much higher though, often above what we are able to produce. I am thinking about pulsars and so on. So to me that is an admission.

Keep us updated on your results. I'm interested in knowing how it works out. I've been looking at ways to do earthing while sleeping.

Will do. I'd like to know how to do this earthing also. I am going to spend a bit of time over this weekend barefoot in the yard. I find even just 30 minutes barefoot standing on the actual ground helps some. I remember growing up never wearing shoes, except for school time. I wondered about the difference between leather and rubber sole shoes and connectivity to the ground. I've worn both. When I wear leather soled I have a high static zapping tendency if I touch other people or metal. Opening the bloody gate every day resulted in a zap or getting in and out of the car. Since changing to rubber sole no zapping. Might be a correlation or just another wacko theory of mine.

I think the leather shoe creates the static electricity. None the less, the charge goes though your body.
Is there any health benefit...doubt it.
I do remember many moons ago, shuffling my feet and touching someone's ear when they weren't looking. It was always fun.
Yep, rubber soles, no spark.
