Might as well get our Thanksgiving ball rolling early, since they moved up their Christmas shopping season this year to next Thursday (http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/personalfinance/2013/11/12/walmart-black-friday-deals-early-openings/3501037/) at dinner time.

:) Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

As the holiday shopping season kicks off, Walmart is the latest major retailer to announce an even earlier launch
to annual Black Friday weekend sales — beginning at dinnertime Thanksgiving evening.

I'm working a soup kitchen for thanksgiving this year. I don't have much family these days. My bro OD'd and my father offed himself. My daughter is with her mother this year. So it's just me and my mom. Should be interesting. Haven't worked a soup kitchen since I was a teenager.

I used to make thanksgiving dinner for me and him every year a couple of days before hand, then go to the familys on Thanksgiving day, so I have continued it with knothead, I might invite my sis's boyfriend up, I know he wont have anywhere to go on the real holiday, at least he will have a Thanksgiving dinner.

and Happy Thanksgiving to all GSUS

Much respect, prayers for your loss.

Working a soup kitchen can be rewarding, I've done that before. This year I'm scheduled to work. Would much prefer a prepackaged dinner than know I'm missing a big one with my family, with my empty chair vacant.

God bless, Silver, and best to you.

I'm surprised "soup kitchens" still exist, with the government handing out the EBTs like they're going out of style... but I guess mature white veteran men don't qualify from the free lobster.

I think I will pass on Abe's version.
I think I will pass on FDR's version also.

No stores open here due to Blue Laws.

Have a good one GSUS

Even if you do not want to!

At least be thankful that things could be one hell of a lot worse. (Oh I forgot some want it to be one hell of a lot worse!) For that there is still hope, so be thankful anyway!

So we should be thankful because it could be a hell of a lot worse, which it will be later!

Great! (Or is that the wrong word in this context?)

Early morning convoluted caffeine starved mind, think it works both ways. Dammed if we do and dammed if we do not.

So I am thankful every morning that I wake up!

Because I did!

Really do not care much for the alternative!

Beyond a certain age if you wake up without pain, it is because you are dead!

I just wanted to remind all of you that the holidays are supposed to be filled with Giving....
Happy Memories, Fun Times, Family, Friends, Feasting, to be being Thankful for what we do have, but not all people are as blessed as I am/we are, and it is a depressing, sad and lonely time for alot of people, so instead of instantly rushing to judgement, stop and have a little empathy towards others.

XOXO
