Ares all the reason and logic in the world cannot break the BELIEF in Statism. I am not sure why some people are able to break out of it, and others cling to it dearly. If it was based on rationality and logic, then people would stop IMAGINING they have to obey the biggest GANG of criminals in history. Notice when you use rationality and logic, Statists RUN to the age old arguments of 'Who will build the roads?' or 'We need Police to protect us'. You can show them facts after facts that 100% prove that 'Government' fucks up all of the roads, and that Police steal, rape and murder at a rate far more than the average criminal, and they will still cling to their BELIEFS. Because thats all they have: Faith - 'Government' is a RELIGION.

There doesnt seem to be any correlation between age groups, sexes, education, family background, race, religion, etc. It just seems some people are ready to be free, while others cringe at the thought.

What's the difference between an (honest) libertarian and an anarchist? About six months.

Also, I'd like to point out that the ideas in the OP video are not new, they have been discussed thoroughly in Rothbard's book For a New Liberty, and Robert P. Murphy's Chaos Theory. Both are great books that discuss how private law and private defense would work in a voluntary society. Unfortunatley, like Sui Juris mentions above, too many people love the state for any of this to be a reality in our lifetimes.

I know..... :(

I think we'll have to be a space fairing society so that those of us who want to live in a voluntary society can just find a planet and start one. It just isn't going to happen here. Too many people are fat, happy, and content on using the societal weapon of choice against his neighbor to loot what they have.

On the rare occasion I talk to coworkers or friends about the violence of government, they get so confused. They've never even dared think that voting for this benefit or that is morally exactly the same as stealing it from an unwilling party. It's very sad that most people think it's morally legitimate to vote to force your neighbor to cough up money to pay for something you want.

Alice must be a drug dealer walking around with that kind of dough on her.
