For sure it will be interesting...
Back in the day, the security systems manufacture I worked for sold a huge shit load of panels and keyboards to S/A along with complete systems. They made up a big part of our production. Most of the whites lived with a fortress mentality, and for good reason.

i've been thinking about buying some real estate in Detroit. i would need some of that security technology !
i have a feeling, if there is a "Renaissance" of any sort in Detroit, it will be white folks buying homes, fixing them up, and 'hardening' them Mad-Max style against the on-slaught of street crime that seems to be a given in Detroit.
i don't necessarily want to live there, but i do like fixing up old houses, taking them from "fixer upper" status to "all fixed up" status.

I am sorta biased, but any of the older caddx-caddy/caddx/ ranger control panels are still good if you can find them unlocked or can have a security co, unlock them for you. Or any Caddx, Nx series panels the Nx-4/6/8. The newer name was ge security Nx series were good.
The last I had a hand in building were the Ge-interlogix series of the Nx panels Must have built at least a million of them and twice as many keypads over the 14 or so years I worked there.
Good panels/systems.
