Are you really ready for what is coming down the road?...... some of you make fun of me (in a good way) about moving into my living room and closing off the rest of the house in order to save fuel......well....how will I know what will need tomorrow unless I practice today?.......like I like to say "Get ready today for the way that you want to live tomorrow"......but, how can you get ready unless you know what you will need?......when it happens tomorrow will you be able to find and buy something that you will need?.........I try to live today for the way that I want to live tomorrow and thanks to it I have found a few holes that I am now filling up to be able to make my future safer and more comfortable.
Do you have some extra roofing material in case a storm blows away part of your roof?, how about 2X4X8 and different sizes of wood?.....if you loose part of your house in the middle of winter, are you ready to move into a safe room with heat?...I for one now have a 12X20 log cabin which is ultra secure and about 75 feet away from the house, also have extra solar panels and inverter so that I can have power, also equipped with propane heat.
Be sure to have an old style phone that doesn't require power to make it work, remember that the phone lines have anywhere from 6 to 18 (?) volts of power...learn how to use it for LED lights........
I could go on for ever, but hell......if you are here you should know by now how to be ready.

People need to learn how to get along with out toilet paper and you too Ponce. I havn't used any for about a year now. I built a bidet out of a one gallon pump up weed sprayer bought at a farm supply store. The wand is attached to about a two foot long hose on the pump up pressure tank. The wand is plastic and if you heat it with a paint stripping gun it'll get flexible enough to bend it around in a J shape at the end. I had cold water running from a faucet when I heated mine and after I'd bent it in the shape I wanted I cooled it with the running water.
You adjust the nozzle to a solid stream and point it at you target when you're ready to clean yourself. If it feels like you're about to give yourself an enema with that stream of water there won't be anything on what ever you dry yourself with when you're done. I use wash cloths to dry with then throw them in the washing machine. Any cloth that will absorb moisture is good but your don't want to use toilet paper because it will leave dingle berries. If it's warm and summer time you may not even dry yourself with a cloth and you'll dry off anyway.

Ready for what? Alien invasion, economic collapse, tsunami, earthquake, pole shift, invasion (foreign army/aliens), worldwide pandemic, zombie apocalypse. There will be no "ready" for anything. But, some people will have lots of TP if needed when we collectively shit our pants. I need to know what to be ready for to prepare properly. As a slave, I don't have unlimited resources to cover all bases, I need a more definitive direction to pursue. What'll think its gonna be? If its Fuku radiation, then all the prepping up till now will be a throw away and waste of time (my gold stash will be glowing and untouchable)..........

.....by having a plan behind the plan behind the plan should make you pretty ready.
Ponce, you need a plan to manage all those plans too. The master plan. Plan on that. Then you will really be ready.

this snow helps me understand the popularity of 4 wheel drive, and also how some transmissions are better in snow than other.
my driveway gets about 4 hours of sun this time of year, i know it's easier to melt 1 inch of snow than 5 inches of snow. but i expect to be snowed in maybe 1 one more day.
i walked out to the street and you could see how the mountain masks the sun and keeps it from melting the snow. the road was clear up till about 50 yards from the entrance to our driveway.

Believe It or not......the master plan is to have no plan and play it by ear......a cork in the water will ride with the water and won't go down by staying afloat or the tree that flexes with the wind will not break......... in case of trouble go with the trouble till you can break away........ with your mouth you say "Yes sir, yes sir" but in your mind you say "F you, f you".

Ready for what? Doom?
The Doom that has been right around the corner for what... 6 years now?
I'm not "ready", and realized lately that I really never have been in spite of all my efforts.
