Secretary of State John F. Kerry (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/john-f-kerry/) says North Korean leader Kim Jong-un (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/kim-jong-un/)’s execution of his uncle makes denuclearization even more of a priority for the United States.

“This is the nature of this ruthless, horrendous dictatorship and of his insecurities. And I think we need to factor that into the urgency of getting China (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/china/), Russia (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/russia/), Japan (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/japan/), South Korea (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/south-korea/) — all of us — to stay on the same page and to put as much effort into the denuclearization as possible,” Mr. Kerry (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/john-f-kerry/) said Sunday on ABC (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/abc/)’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos.” “To have a nuclear weapon, potentially, in the hands of somebody like Kim Jong-un (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/kim-jong-un/) just becomes even more unacceptable.”

Mr. Kerry (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/john-f-kerry/) said the killing of Mr. Kim’s uncle, a top figure in North Korea (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/north-korea/) and mentor to the young leader, shows that the leader is spontaneous, erratic and insecure about his place in the power structure. The most recent of a “significant number” of executions over the past few months is reminiscent of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, Mr. Kerry (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/john-f-kerry/) said.

“It really reminded me of a video that we saw of Saddam Hussein doing the same thing, having people plucked out of an audience and people sitting there sweating and nobody daring to move or do anything,” he said.

how many is a significant number? I'm counting 1, so far.

I'll just do a recount. ok. I count 1. So to recap. I count 1 to date. You see. This is my failing. I didn't do common core math.

Of course the way to denuclearization, try and say that after a couple of drinks, the easiest way is just to bomb the crap out of the area you want to de-nuclearize.

The only country I've ever heard actually threatening to use nukes on another country is Israel.

Tell me why again, I'm supposed to care about Kim Jong-un executing his uncle?

It is more likely a reason to suspend all body guards and special privileges for diplomats, politicians, bankers and government bureaucrats.
