go advanced, click the film strip icon, middle row, 5th from the right.

make sure you post 2 hour long videos with no explanation or summary of what they are.

[ video ] insert link here [ / video ] you type video between the brackets. (do not put any spaces, I did for it would show)

On the video you want to copy, highlight the address in the title bar and copy it.

You may see how it works by looking at any post here when you do a reply with quote, look at the format that is used.

I will try and make clearer if you have problems.

all I do is click on the little filmstrip icon enter the URL of the video. Then post. The video is usually there already embedded Here is a test...

Edit: what chad shown is good, I have never done it that way, I use the old manual way.

But you do have to copy the address of the video, from your browser address bar. right click and copy.


Edit again: celtic rougs post is a good example to look at for the manual format..

click on reply with quote and look at the video format right before the last quote.

actually, vBulletin changes the formatting of the video embed, after you submit the post. Or even switching to "Go Advanced", after you've put a video there in "Quick Reply" mode-- you'll see how the (youtube for example) URL was cut up and switched around a bit... no longer the simple URL between [ video ] tags--

will become (adding spaces here so vB doesn't render the video):

Anyway, the film clip icon in the msg edit toolbar is the ticket; vB will do the rest.
