I was helping my aunt move some old boxes looking for xmas decorations, and happened upon an old coin book with $3 face of standing liberty quarters in it. My aunt knows I'm a coin collector so she let me have them. They're all pretty badly tarnished, but a couple of them have some colors in the toning. A nice reward for helping out!

No worries MF, just rub them with toothpaste and they'll be nice and shiny!

I think I'll just keep 'em the way they are. This way you know they've been sitting in a cardboard book for decades.

Madfranks, I'd like to make the suggestion to keep these in the family. Pass them on in the later years. My late grandfather had 2 old silver bars in his safety deposit box when he died, odd sizes, one was stamped 5.15 oz, the other 5 something as well. These are by far my most cherished of PM's. Knowing my grandfather had the foresight to store them away, makes me think a lot. Heck, he lived through the great depression. If I were you, I'd save those just the way they are. Many generations later will be grateful for the memories.
