"In 1888, Gandhi travelled to London, England, to study law at University College London, where he studied Indian law and jurisprudence and trained as a barrister at the Inner Temple."

"He joined the Vegetarian Society, was elected to its executive committee, Some of the vegetarians he met were members of the Theosophical Society, which had been founded in 1875 to further universal brotherhood"

"The Hellfire Club was a name for several exclusive clubs for high society rakes established in Britain and Ireland in the 18th century"

"What then, is the association with Freemasonry? First, the reputed founder of the pre-eminent London Hell-Fire Club, Philip, Duke of Wharton, was Grand Master of England in 1722-23. Second, the reputed founder of the Dublin Hell-Fire Club, Richard Parsons, 1st Earl of Rosse, was twice Grand Master of Ireland, in 1725 and 1730."

Modern Hellfire club (http://www.windycitymediagroup.com/gay/lesbian/news/ARTICLE.php?AID=27298)

"These clubs were rumoured to be the meeting places of "persons of quality" who wished to take part in immoral acts, and the members were often very involved in politics.'

The club motto was Fais ce que tu voudras (Do what thou wilt)

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.--Aleister Crowley

“I was not content to just believe in Satan, I wanted to be his chief of staff”--Aleister Crowley

"Aleister Crowley had a deep respect from Madame Helena Petrovna Blavatsky who founded the Theosophical Society in 1875, the year of Crowley’s birth. In Crowley’s commentary to “The Voice of the Silence,” he gave Blavatsky the grade of 8=3 or Magister Templi in the A.’.A.’., which is extremely high praise."

Later in his Autobiography, Gandhi says that he visited the Blavatsky Lodge of the theosophical movement in London and was personally introduced to Helena P. Blavatsky. And he writes:

“I recall having read, at the brothers’ instance, Madame Blavatsky’s Key to Theosophy. This book stimulated in me the desire to read books on Hinduism, and disabused me of the notion fostered by the missionaries that Hinduism was rife with superstition.”

"The Theosophical (https://www.google.ca/search?q=theosophy&rls=com.microsoft:en-CA:IE-Address&rlz=1I7GGNI_enCA533&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=4DfIUpbDDIrxoAS8g4LQBw&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1519&bih=721) Society was officially formed in New York City, United States, in November 1875 by Helena Blavatsky, Henry Steel Olcott, William Quan Judge and others. Its initial objective was the "study and elucidation of Occultism, the Cabala etc." After a few years Olcott and Blavatsky moved to India and established the International Headquarters at Adyar, in Madras"

Gandhi travelled to Madras in 1915

"In 1939, Mrs. Sophia Wadia, one of the most significant leaders of the United Lodge of Theosophists (U.L.T.) in India, had her book “The Brotherhood of Religions” published. In the Foreword to the work, Mahatma Gandhi wrote:

“These essays of Sophia Wadia show at a glance how much similarity there is between the principal faiths of the earth in the fundamentals of life. All our mutual quarrels centre round non-essentials. Sophia Wadia’s labours will be amply rewarded if people belonging to different faiths will study faiths other than their own, with the same reverence that she has exhibited in her essays. An understanding knowledge of and respect for the great faiths of the world is the foundation of true Theosophy"

Quote from Gandhi's journal "Harijan", from the issue published on the day he was assassinated, January 30, 1948

"I have come to the conclusion that the Theosophy is Hinduism in theory, and that Hinduism is Theosophy in practice."

"There are many admirable works in Theosophical literature, which one may read with the greatest profit; but it appears to me that too much stress has been laid upon mental and intellectual studies: upon argument, upon the development of occult powers, and that the central idea of theosophy, the brotherhood of mankind and the moral growth of man has been lost sight of in these."

Basically Ghandi was an asset as far as I can tell...and as soon as the population of India believed they had gained independence from the city of London...his usefulness was over...and he was shot.

To this day...the population of India think they are independent.

below shows that is the standard operating procedure...

"What we want to have in existence, what we ought to have been creating in this time is some administration with Arab institutions which we can safely leave while pulling the strings ourselves; something that won't cost very much, which the Labour government can swallow consistent with its' principles, but under which our economic and political interests will be secure."--Sir Arthur Hirtzel, Head of the British government's 'India Office Political Department.' 1919
