Don’t put it anywhere near where the stored food (http://www.pprn.mygofoods.com/) is!

Expensive, sensitive metal detectors take time to train. Consider our teenagers and expect that kind of ‘trainability’ of the FEMA types.

Interior walls

Get metal pipes such as curtain hangers, the cheap ones

Place them at a standing angle between studs

Put tinfoil behind the paneling at an angle that simulates a gun standing

Floor boards

Hide the weapons along water (http://www.prepperpodcast.com/disaster-preparedness/water/) pipes

Don’t put them inside washer and dryers

Too easy to take apart

Make them expend energy

People are naturally lazy, so exploit this.

Buried outside

Bury at least two feet down

Bury in a 3-4 inch PVC pipe covered with oily rag

Mark your site!

Build a underground gun vault

Use 7 bags of concrete

Dig down deep enough to handle the thickness of three bags plus the length of one bag. I estimate that to be 24 inches, but then dig another 3 inches for the dirt cover for a total of about 27 inches. It would be about 27 inches by 18 by 12

Place one bag flat on the bottom

Put two on the sides to form the long end of the box. Use plastic tent pegs to keep bag standing upright.

Put two on the ends to form the short end of the box. Use plastic tent pegs to keep bag standing upright.

Put your guns (http://www.ultimatepreppers.net/) in the vault

Make sure that they are vacu-sealed to keep out moisture

Now take the remaining two bags and position them on top of the other bags so you have a box

The nice thing is that the guns are kept dryer because the concrete will absorb moisture first creating a crypt

By having two “top” layers it will give a very weak signal to the metal detector.

Dig out soil a the level of the top of the crypt so that you can take a piece of plywood and put it over the crypt, but its edges are supported by dirt.

This will give it support in case someone walks over the spot, they won’t fall in

Cover with a few inches of dirt. Put some nails in the soil

You can get gun cleaning equipment from here: http://www.guncleaning.co.uk (http://www.guncleaning.co.uk/)
Cover with metal debris

Take the gun apart and put them in simple areas. A handgun can fit into many small areas.

If you have a hollow metal door, consider that as well. In fact, consider ANY hollow door but the metal ones will be very helpful.
