The grid going down isn't the only scenario worth prepping for. If the dollar collapses, bitcoins will serve you better for monetary use than physical gold will.

Madfranks, I tried to fix an electrical issue today at work. Putting in a new fuse, bsst, and smoke and that smell of one can't describe really, unless he's smelt it. That smell, just tells us all, at an innate level, it's gone...

I think bitcoin is that smell that stench that clogs the forum. Won't go away.

If your home gets wiped out you'll loose all the 3 B's BUT the Bitcoins as long as you have it in a virtual wallet. Look what happened to Adam Kokesh. He got arrested. The government took his Silver, guns, preps, everything. They couldn't get his Bitcoins/Litecoins though. That's the only wealth he has left.
