It looks like a star of David - fancy that. I don't know much specifically about hemocyanin. My research was on heme proteins. All of these prosthetic molecules have similar chemistries. They vary in the metal employed in the catalytic process. Hemocyanin employs copper. Hemoglobin employs iron. Superoxide dismutase employs copper and zinc IIRC.

HT, you are a good guy and I don't see a reason to ban you from a forum. But your physics knowledge lacks.

There are two problems with this statement:
1. Theoretical concept of a "black hole" is such that no energy , effectively NOTHING , comes out of it.
2. Black holes, dark matter and other such nonsense is stuff coming out of british scientific camp to patch holes in their fancy current vision of the Universe, which is wrong and leaks everywhere like a giant strainer.

There's probably also number 3 on your understanding of cells, and number 4 of entropy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entropy), but I won't bore you going there.

I saw watched a video or maybe a podcast that discussed this blue blood issue and it related to blood types. The theory presented was that most blood is iron centric, there is one blood type that is cooper centric.

A specific genetic group of people have blood that contains copper instead of iron and the result is blue blood. Copper oxidation is blue in colour. Check any copper plumbing for blue oxidation.

This is interesting subject for me. When I first heard of this I immediately thought of when I was at elementary/primary school and they obviously do all kinds of tests on you and one is the blood test. I remember learning about blood types and groups and so on. How some blood types can't be mixed because you die. Then they test your blood and eventually you get your result.

If you knew what blue blood was, perhaps you might exclaim "Oh" something something.
