ok so a fire torch migth be known as a scandanavian candle. 1 log split into 4 or 5 pieces. Either all the way through and then tied up back into a log or split so the top portion has groves in it. Into those grooves or split you put kindling etc to start a flame. So the log burns down from top to bottom like a candle. Good idea. You can easily prepared a couple of logs to throw in the back of the chariot when going out camping and such.
