I am looking for another safe a small one, maybe something for a pistol and or cash or jewelry, I don't think I want it to look like a safe. I have seen a book/ and a clock that have hidden compartments..... any ideas?

Do a search for "diversion safe" on Amazon.

Or maybe one of these and just mount it where you think best.

Make a hole in the wall the size of a wall sucket, put what you want inside of the wall and use a square sucket plate screwed into the wall.........bigger one?... make a hole the size of a wall heather and put the front of a wall heather on the wall.....small stuff?, take down a non-solid door, from the bottom take out all the junk, put your stuff inside the door and secured it so that it wont fall out, hang the door back on..............to small of a safe? they will steal everything, including the safe hahahahahah. Inside of a "working" tv set, under a heavy furniture, inside of a mattres in a bedroom ......and on and on.
To show a safe is to show something important, a poor person don't have a safe......a burglar only spend an average of seven minutes in a house.

One thing to consider though, is if it's somewhere to store a gun, you don't want to have to take apart a wall to get to it, you have to be able to get it quick. So for a handgun, a safe is a good option.
However, if you want to hide valuables, here's another good option. If you have a second floor, and your floor is carpeted, go to one of the corners of the room, preferably where there's some furniture (like a dresser) in the corner. Move the dresser, pull the carpet back a few feet, use a saw to open up a hole in the floor sheathing. If you're storing heavy items like bags of silver coins, in the floor/ceiling space, attach some 2x4s between the floor joists to make a platform, and put your valuables on the platform. If you're storing light items, just rest them on the ceiling board. Put the floor sheathing back on, put the carpet back into place, and put the dresser back.

I'd like to get one of those safes that read your fingerprint to open for a handgun,( maybe I will just put the handgun in the main safe since I really can't hit nothing with it anyway, I have the shotguns, atleast somebody would be scared of me with one of them, lol.
Maybe I will get a diversion safe for any cash I have laying around.
Thanks Shami

I used to store my silver in those big tin cans that food comes in from the grocery store. The trick is to get a can opener that cuts from the side instead of the top, it makes a lid out of it, then stash it with all the rest of cans in the pantry.
The added bonus is that those can openers don't create the little metal shards that the conventional models can/do.

A trick that I use for a "handy" gun.......make a hole in the wall about 6"X10" place a "loaded" gun inside in the position that you wanted it to be, place a picture over the hole........now then, the picture must be made of thin paper and the frame must be screwed to the wall..............why?.......simple, you should be able to push your hand true the picture (paper) and it would land on the gun...pulled it out and fired it.
Should be in a place where as you walk by it, in case you are under a gun, you should be able to get hold of it.

I remember seeing a video where they were using magnets, strip magnets, screwed onto furniture or things like the top of door jams. Then either compact pistols or other metal things are stuck to the magnets. Inside a closet was another one.
