Yesterday I went to eat a hamburger at this restaurant that has an outside patio, it was a warm sunny day so that I decided to eat outside......about two minutes after I sat down this five guys came out and sat about five tables away from me, they were acting very weird and after looking at me moved over one table closer to me.....one minute later, one table closer...one minute later one table closer.....one minute later, one table closer.........by this time I knew that they were up to no good so that I took out my gun and placed a bullet in the chamber and placed on the table in front of me, but pointing away from them.......so, they looked at me for a minute and moved three tables away from me........I had a very nice lunch in a very pleasant and warm day :)

No offense Ponce, but what were you going to do with the other four guys?
Challenge them to an arm wrestling match?
Keep that thing loaded.

I finally remember who they are, at least one of them........I posted this about eight months ago and it did happen at the same place. I was backing my pick up after eating lunch and I saw this guys looking in my direction and smiling, I stopped my truck and got out to look behind my truck, there was one guy pretending to tie his shoe laces and waiting for me to hit him with the truck. I recognize this one guy because he wears sunglasses with only one glass......I don't know if the other four guys were the same ones..........by the way, they were not eating lunch while getting closer and closer to me.......I feel that I took the proper action.

Well I would hope you've loaded it with Speer Gold Dot or some equivalent hi-performance PD ammo 'cause 9 sillymeter in FMJ/TMJ is notorious for overpenetration/lack of energy transfer (read: weak on stopping power, esp. with respect to tweakers and others with bad chemicals in their head).

I use Hornady Critical Duty. What's your opinion on that?

Suitable.
I like .357 Sig*, however as a buddy pointed out .357 Sig is merely a higher velocity 9 sillymeter, so therefore I would only carry it with some form of a HP PD ammo. My preference is Speer Gold Dot however anything along those lines will work for you.
*I really like having a pistol for which you can use different calibers with a barrel change (9mm, .357 Sig, .40 S&W), e.g. the Glocks in .357 Sig and .40 S&W (cannot convert a 9mm Glock to a .357 Sig or .40).

Nothing wrong with a .380 so long as it's an EXTREMELY reliable pistol, however like the 9 sillymeter I wouldn't carry anything but the appropriate HP PD ammo in it. A .32 in the right pistol such as a Seecamp would also work with the right HP PD ammo.
On my wish list, two very nice pocket pistols, upper Rohrbaugh R9 in 9mm, lower Seecamp .32 -

Problem with .22LR pocket pistols as there are hardly any worth considering for CC due to reliability issues, however the Ruger SR22 looks promising. Also on my wish list.
Funny you should say a .22 is adequate yet you yourself prefer a .45 ACP. lol
Funny story (from my ride-along days): stupid kid walks up to the service window at a c-store on the dark side of town (they have only a window to service customers with) and points a .22 pistol at the guy inside demanding money; guy inside pulls a .45 and sez, "Mine's bigger than yours!" Kid accepts the fact he's been trumped, turns around and walks off empty handed.

Couple of problems with the Beretta 21a Bobcat - I used to own one and was not at all impressed by the quality, and my gunsmith advised he that he had one come into his shop with either a broken firing pin or a spring (don't recall atm). He tried to order a replacement part and Beretta told him that the gun was NOT serviceable (therefore no parts available) and that the gun would have to be returned in exchange for a whole new gun! Secondly, kindly point out where I can currently get CCI Stingers or Velocitors. lol

When carrying a backup it's a good idea to stick to the same type and caliber - optimally, e.g. a Glock 27 (or 33) and another 27 or a 23 (or 32), so one doesn't have to carry more than one type of extra mag (and full length G22 mags with a +2 [17 rounds per mag] is my first choice for extra mags). Keep it simple.
And FWIW I found the Govt. Model makes a fine carry gun, I carried one full time 24/7 for a couple of years cocked and locked to the point I was so comfortable with it I had to occasionally check to make sure it was still there. lol
