Don't know anything about their 308's but RRA makes fine firearms. Had a LAR 223/556 with Wilde chamber. Their 2 stage trigger is a nice upgrade over the standard triggers most companies use.
I wouldn't want to carry a 10 pound rifle in these mountains. $1000 seems like a real good price.

I don't see anything listed for under 1200-1300. feeding it is the bigger issue.

I'm sure it's a tack driver, as in putting a single hole in a paper target, but as is always an issue with direct gas impingement it shits where it eats so reliability will always be doubtful (requires daily maintenance/cleaning when carried/in service full time yet not fired, therefore it's completely unsuitable as a SHTF gun [since in an emergency/crisis there is NO time to do daily weapon maintenance], some AR gunowners get butthurt over this assertion and will dispute this but that's the fact of the matter). IOW, I would never count on it in a storm.

what lead weight and powder used to make it so..
Yes compared to lesser cartage's it is more expensive to feed and keep happy. But for mortal,s it is almost the best we can get..
Not posting about the rifle,,, no I am posting about the cartage/round. Lesser rounds are more economic but will never match the preforms of the round except larger ones.

It depends on whether or not, your head is fat in relation to your body, or horatio negata-striatum.

You maybe right, but ballistics are never wrong..
when dealing with the law, in some parts of this country.
You comply or die..
If you don not react the instant they open their mouths, you are doomed, mostly, depending who and where you live..
Here is a mix of mayberry/doom but smaller towns/citys is sorta right , the filter down effect right?
At one time I wanted to try and be law, but my step Father, cured me. You know the one maggie that has tried to connect me with doom..
But for , the idiots that like or feel it is nessury for a cycle feel free.
I am reading again a very and real book called
One second after...
Scary but real, very real
If one asks nice I may send a a copy.
It is as real as it can get..
