View Full Version : interesting conversation with my priest about gold

so, i've become kind of friends with our parish priest. he's a new guy, been in the states 7 years and is from india. i spent the weekend with him helping him set up a website for a school in india that he helps operate, fundraising type stuff to help run the school (300 kids from destitute, poor families). we also sponsor a kid through cfca who is from india, and he translates our letters to her and her family.
anyway, we got on the topic of gold. he said almost everyone in india expects the west to default on gold repayment to germany, etc. he said people there are hoarding up big time because the talk all over is that a new gold back currency is coming. he found it odd that there's nothing in the media about it, because he said everyone back home talks about it constantly. he's bringing some gold back to his family when he returns home this summer.
basically a boring story other than that he found it odd no one in the west talks about gold because back home it's all anyone talks about.
i did not witness any lucifer worshipping, child sacrifice, dark jesuit devil play, or other nefarious behavior at the rectory (although i am sure after i left he started it up).
okay, that is my boring weekend.

Since when would things be so obvious? While these days we have people proudly and openly admitting to being communists, satanists, etc... sometimes it is not "what you do" but "what you don't do" that counts. Since your mind is already made up, you will see nothing beyond your current vision until you hunger for Truth.

Am I missing something about a new gold backed currency? Is India considering this?

no, just that the talk there is that some big country like us (ha-ha right) or china is going to do it. people there are hoarding up on the expectatio that once this happens gold will become unobtainable.

The China angle makes sense, but I didn't think the Indians cared much for the Chinese so why would they want the yuan. Seems like he is listening to too many poor folks with the dream of hitting it big.

the people (i don't know about the government, he was talking about average people) don't care/aren't concerned with what country does it, physical gold is a tradition there, and they are worried they won't be able to get any physical once this happens (and apparently they are all of the opinion that this will happen). they are 100% focussed on hoarding physical. none of them are concerned with currencies, countries, or anything else, just obtaining physical while they can.

I have a couple female friends from India and I talk to them both about the Gold issue.
One says she knows Gold is very important to the culture there and she owns some, but doesn't follow all the news. Her reasons for owning it are cultural.
The other says its a big deal and she and her family try to accumulate it as much as possible. She is going to a wedding right now and told me how she is gonna wear a ton of Gold jewelry and all the traditional Indian garments. She seemed more obsessed with Gold than many of the people here and was fully versed on how the banking system really worked. Basically everything you heard in that video that was done by 60 minutes on India. She jokingly said Americans will become the worker slaves of the Indians once Gold becomes money again.

I don't blame them in that aspect. However, to think that reserve banks are going to buy it up to back currencies is farcical imho. They should be more concerned with their government (along with ours and all the rest) preventing them from owning gold.
So how much is your priest buying up? :D

Keep in mind that the currency devaluation going on in India dramatic and is greatly evident in price inflation. Gold imports, which undermine the fiat lie, are being obstructed. To them, the pitfalls of paper currency is in their face every day, and the idea of gold-backed currency is relevant. In the U.S., currency devaluation is far more subtle. The most egregious abuses (TARP, QE, etc.) are still largely contained as bank reserves and not visible yet as dramatic price inflation. Why would holders of the world's reserve currency, a huge economic advantage, want to be talking about a gold-backed currency?
I'm telling you, the rest of the world is America's canary. Across the globe, there is currency abuse, huge price inflation, restriction on purchase of precious metals and firearms, shortages of basic necessities, and violence in the streets fighting Marshall Law. These things that we talk about coming to the U.S. are already going on elsewhere. This is why I'm so perplexed at people's desire to "bug out" to escape American tyranny. You think those countries are going to welcome your spoiled American ass? We have so much opportunity to prepare here for what is coming, and so far many more resources with which to do so. Watch what happens abroad so that you can know what to be ready for. The U.S. will be the last domino to fall.

I'm not sure that's the role that the ex-pats have in mind as they flee, or what type of remote aid they will be able to offer as individuals. I guess we'll see.

There is a Bible principle of God's movement and it's like a wave. The direction is FROM East TO West
Even though the Americas are called the west...if you keep going you are back at the point of what is called the east (China/India)
It looks like that's were we are now folks

Well there's no big looming default on silver on the horizon.... It's all about the German Gold. Silver shold rise if gold does.
if anyone is looking at a au/Ag backed currency -- look at China and/or Russia. They've been quietly buying tonnes of the stuff as of late. They are playing their cards well...

The western financial system is being intentionally sold down the river. It will have to be reset. They know it. It's a set up, an inside job, a controlled demolition. How do you remake a society? Just like tying shoes. You have to undo them first.

Yes- and when the common shlubs go to ChinaMart to buy some more crap, they will find that their worthless dollars are no longer acceptable to China so prices will go way up. Amerika will become the 4th world nation in many ways. There may even be some military action on the land to eliminate any significant resitstance.
The wealth that blessed Amerika was stolen as the people turned from God. Protection is removed and the horsemen ride into this soon desolate land.

Silver is big in India
These threads that discuss Only Gold in private conversations just bother me. :)
Its as if when Gold is mentioned it automatically includes Silver as the same, when its the statist's charm.
I find it hard when in any such conversation that it doesn't lead exclusively to Silver and its differences that put Gold in the backseat.
