Official CT State Police spokesman says that state police would participate in door to door gun confiscations

The State of Connecticut says that all citizens must register rifles and high capacity magazines, or be charged will a felony. As many as 100,000 people could face heavily armed police smashing down their doors and be charged with a felony.

The legislature of CT says that a registration is needed so they can know where the guns are. Yet at the same time, they are sending threatening letters to gun owners. So they already have records of who has purchased certain guns. The fact is, that the CT legislature fully intends to confiscate hundreds of thousands of firearms anyway. The registration process will simply make it easier to confiscate, because you acknowledge that you still own a firearm that the state already suspects that you own.

CT State Police Spokesman Lt. Vance says that state police would comply with an order from the state to conduct door to door gun confiscations.

Experts claim that as many as 350,000 people are in violation of the law, and over 100,000 of those people could face felony charges. That means over 3.6% of the entire adult population of Connecticut has been transformed into a felon by the new registration law. Roughly one in twenty Connecticut homes could have their doors smashed in by heavily armed law enforcement seeking to confiscate firearms.

CT State Police Spokesman Lt. Vance can be reached at at (860) 685-8290.

I guess if this happens we really find out if everyone is just a bunch of keyboard commandos and react like they did in Boston, or American's still have their spirit.

Molon labe (Greek (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_language): μολὼν λαβέ molṑn labé; Ancient Greek: [molɔːn labé] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA_for_Greek); Modern Greek: [moˈlon laˈve] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA_for_Greek)), lit. "come and take", is a classical expression of defiance reportedly spoken by King Leonidas I (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonidas_I) in response to the Persian army's demand that the Spartans surrender their weapons at the Battle of Thermopylae (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Thermopylae). It is an exemplary use of a laconic phrase (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laconic_phrase).

Sounds like they have a problem on their hands in Connecticut.
Maybe they will win top state where most felons are residing.

If they back down they will be seen weak and still have 1 in 20 homes with felons living in them.
If they raid homes and confiscate firearms, they'll have a war on their hands.

Rock and a hard place comes to mind.

Apparently, Lt. Vance, and possibly all the politicians who make the laws he enforces havent read this open letter I posted on a different thread, here:

http://gold-silver.us/forum/showthread.php?75751-Officials-in-Connecticut-Stunned-by-State-Wide-Civil-Disobedience&p=691357&viewfull=1#post691357

This is a good summary of the issues and options available to the people of Connecticut. If the politiciand want to declare war on the people, the should be 'staffing up' for it. I wonder if the Feds would intervene in their failure to enforce a state law.

Famed Sandy Hook Connecticut State Policeman Says Opposing Gun Grab Is Un-American

Published on Feb 27, 2014

GMN Producer Guerilla Girl Ashley contacted Connecticut State Police to inquire about the recent letter sent to residents regarding gun confiscation in Connecticut. "Sandy Hook" State Police Spokesman Lt. Vance answered the telephone and spoke to Ashley. The recording of the call reveals the shocking disregard this sworn peace officer has for the U.S. Constitution, and even goes so far as to call Ashley "un-American" for inquiring about the constitutionality of the gun confiscation law.

In Lt. Vance's own words, "...I am the master...."

Please contact Lt. Vance directly at (860) 685-8290 and give him a piece of your mind.

The list of Connecticut politicians that voted to confiscate your guns

http://callofthepatriot.blogspot.com/2014/02/the-list-of-connecticut-politicians.html

I do not live in Connecticut but I feel it is my duty to help expose the politicians who voted for gun grabbing bill Public law 13-3, also known as Connecticut Senate Bill 1160: An Act Concerning Gun Violence Prevention and Children’s Safety.

The state of Connecticut is making lists of firearm owners to raid. It seems obvious to me that it is thus only fair to list those anti-constitutional tyrants who will have blood on their hands the moment the first Connecticut citizen is shot by the CT state police while carrying out their orders. I will be sending these folks my own email later today.

Commissar Vance!

Anybody remember the first thing they did after taking command of the Submarine Red October in the movie? They killed the commissar and stuck his body in the freezer.

In the Soviet military they had commanders who issued orders, and political operatives (Commissars) who could countermand the commander's orders if they deemed them 'politically incorrect'. Commissar Vance apparently has a job that involves 'communicating' the party line to the public. His name and address should be on the list of despots responsible for thiis unconstitutional legislation.

The despots don't seem to understand where they have put themselves. There is not enough staffing among the law enforcement organizations to deal with the reaction to the first armed enforcement action. Commissar Vance could well become one of the first casualties in this standoff. His attitude is not endearing to a whole lot of people.

Connecticut Patriot Group Fights Back Against Confiscation Order: ‘We Are Armed… And Are Familiar With the Finer Points of Marksmanship

The war on liberty is coming to a head in Connecticut, where tens of thousands of gun owners have refused to comply with their state government’s gun registration laws. Officials have literally ordered those who failed to meet the registration deadline to surrender their firearms or face arrest.

The State of Connecticut is now demanding that gun owners across the state turn in all newly-banned, unregistered firearms and magazines or face felony arrest.

The State Police Special Licensing & Firearms Unit began mailing out notices to gun owners who attempted to register their firearms and accessories with the state but did not do so in time for the Jan. 1 deadline of Connecticut’s newly enacted gun control law.

The law bans the sale of magazines holding over 10 rounds and “assault rifles” manufactured after 1994 and requires that residents who possessed either before the ban to register them with the state.

It doesn’t take a stretch of the imagination to understand that the enforcement of this law can only come at the barrel of a gun. Therefore, we can conclude that we may soon see SWAT-style raids on the homes of suspected law breakers. Because we’re talking about gun confiscation, you can be fully assured that the state will not be knocking nicely, and they won’t be asking residents to exist their homes.

They’re going in full force.

But Americans simply don’t take well to being told what to do, especially as it relates to their Second Amendment rights.

These unreasonable demands, which have yet to pass muster with the U.S. Supreme Court, have prompted Mike Vanderboegh of Connecticut’s Sipsey Street Irregulars to go on the offensive. Earlier this week Vanderboegh publicly posted the names, addresses, phone numbers and provided direct access to pictures of all CT legislators involved with passage of the gun confiscation bill, saying that since the government has a list it “seems obvious to me that it is thus only fair to list those anti-constitutional tyrants.”

The Daily Sheeple reports: (http://www.thedailysheeple.com/patriot-activist-makes-his-own-list-the-home-addresses-of-ct-legislators-who-just-voted-in-favor-of-gun-control_022014)

Sometimes you just have to fight fire with fire. And that is exactly what Mike Vanderboegh has chosen to do. The state of Connecticut wants to make a list – a list of gun owners. So, Vanderboegh has created his own list – a list of those state legislators who are insisting that certain firearms be banned or registered.

Here is the post, A Sipsey Street Public Service Announcement: The Connecticut Tyrants List:

The state of Connecticut is making lists of firearm owners to raid. It seems obvious to me that it is thus only fair to list those anti-constitutional tyrants who will have blood on their hands the moment the first Connecticut citizen is shot by the CT state police while carrying out their orders. I will be sending these folks my own email later today.

CT State Senators voting Yes on “An Act Concerning Gun Violence Prevention and Children’s Safety, also known as Public Law 13-3 or Connecticut Senate Bill No. 1160,” 3 April 2013. List includes home addresses. Photos and home phone numbers of these tyrants are available here.

As promised, Vanderboegh followed up his list with an Open Letter to the Legislative Tyrants of Connecticut sent to all CT legislators where he extensively details the impact of Connecticut’s new law and which he closes with a plea to legislators in an effort to prevent the potential for violence that may result in the event of a state-mandated gun confiscation:

(Excerpts via Sipsey Street Irregulars)

To the CT State Senators And Representatives who voted Yes on “An Act Concerning Gun Violence Prevention and Children’s Safety, also known as Public Law 13-3 or Connecticut Senate Bill No. 1160,” 3 April 2013.

And, yes, I said tyrants. You bought it, in the form of the woefully misnamed “Act Concerning Gun Violence Prevention and Children’s Safety,” you own it, you are certainly — if you get your way — going to pay for it like it or not, so you might as well own up to it. Look in the mirror. That’s what a tyrant in the 21st Century looks like. Mather Byles, the Massachusetts Loyalist of the Revolutionary period — our first civil war — once famously asked, “Which is better – to be ruled by one tyrant three thousand miles away or by three thousand tyrants one mile away?” The Founders themselves were just as suspicious of unrestrained democracy as a means of tyranny. This is why they gave us a republic of limited powers and the rule of law, to limit those who would misuse democracy to create a new tyranny. Yet that is precisely what you’ve done. Own it.

You know, in Greek mythology Cassandra, the daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy, was given the gift of prophecy. She could see exactly what was going to happen to her endangered city. Yet she was also cursed with the burden of never being believed. The frustration was said to have driven her mad. Never have I come closer to understanding Cassandra’s curse than these past months.

We are at a crossroads. You, in the arrogance of your power and your ignorance of the people you seek to dominate are extrapolating from your own cowardice — you believe that just because the government orders these folks to knuckle under that they will do so BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT YOU WOULD DO. You mistake them, and your mistake is, in the fullness of time, going to get people killed. And who do you think these people who you victimize — these people who you will have state agents seek to round up and kill — who do you think they are going to blame for that? It doesn’t take Madame Lawlor and his crystal ball to predict that such people — victimized by their own state authorities in an unconstitutional law that likely will be found to be null and void anyway — will blame the people who sent the killers. Which is to say, you. (13)

This is deadly serious stuff, this foray into an undiscovered country that you have so blithely entered upon, like blind men and women tap dancing in a minefield you scarcely comprehend. Fully eighty-five percent of the people you targeted with the law — the people that YOU AND YOU ALONE made into lawbreakers — have just told you by their noncompliance to take your unconstitutional law and stick it where the sun don’t shine. Does that not tell you ANYTHING? These people are ARMED.They are familiar with the finer points of marksmanship. They are principled in a way that perhaps only the Founders would understand — at the risk of their own lives. So what part of “Oh, HELL no” don’t you understand? You have been playing with titanic forces. You are going to send armed agents of the state to their doors to work your collective and collectivist will upon THEM? You have unintentionally sown the wind and if things go predictably south you will reap the whirlwind.

BUT IT IS WITHIN YOUR POWER TO REVERSE. You own the weather machine, as it were. I’m not asking you to repeal the law, although that makes perfect sense to me. No, I realize that too much of your ego, your own false vision of omnipotence is wrapped up in it to do THAT. What I am asking you to do — no, what I am BEGGING you to do — is to use your power to suspend the enforcement of that Intolerable Act at least until it is ruled constitutional or not by the United States Supreme Court. “An unconstitutional law is null and void.” Do you really wish to risk death and destruction upon innocent people — upon us all — on a bet against the odds? Is your appetite for your own citizens’ liberty, property and lives that insatiable? Or now, as the likely unintended consequences of your actions have been directly explained to you, are you willing to reconsider the menu choices? What will your political fortunes be when the first shots are exchanged over this? When the first innocents are killed in carrying out your will? What will your arrogance, your ignorance, your insufferable pride be worth to you then? What will it be worth to any of us? Starting a bloody civil war seems an odd way to avoid “violence against children.”

Praying that my advice fares better than Cassandra’s, I am, sincerely,

The importance of what’s happening in Connecticut and how its citizens are responding cannot be understated. What we have here is a government that has directly violated the Second Amendment of the United States of America by legislating forced gun registration with the penalty of confiscation of said firearms and felony imprisonment for those who refuse to comply.

They have now threatened all Connecticut residents with arrest if they refuse to turn over their firearms.

In coming days and weeks, unless Mike Vanderboegh’s warnings are heeded, we will begin to see police-state raids of homes belonging to anyone suspected of owning an unregistered firearm or accessory.

Keep in mind that this legislation has not yet made it to the U.S. Supreme Court, so Connecticut state officials intend to confiscate guns through the use of force and without a judiciary review of the Constitutionality of the laws they passed.

There will be those in Connecticut who surrender their firearms. But a growing sentiment across the United States suggests that there will be those who will simply refuse to submit to the will of the state.

If Connecticut goes through with this and sends heavily armed police personnel to the doors of Constitutional Law-abiding citizens it is not out of the question to suggest that we will see bloodshed and violence when these gun confiscations begin.

The people have had enough and many Americans are preparing to stand their ground.

The ability to own 'the weapon of the day' (a sword in Jesus' time*, see Luke 22:36) is the power to say no. Of course the intent of all this nonsense is to deprive each and every one of us the power to say "No."

*at the time of Jesus a sword essentially had only one primary use, as an ASSAULT WEAPON, yeah, that's right, Jesus told all who follow Him that it's more important to have an ASSAULT WEAPON than it is to have extra clothing to stay warm

We need dossiers on all these people. Where they live, where they work, what times they drive to work and the roads they take, which grocery stores they shop at and at what times, what they do on the weekends, etc. It's all public information, and it needs to be compiled.

This thread reminds me of the Pastor Butch Paugh and Lt. McCoy from N.C. interview on the N.C. police training to confiscate guns a couple of years ago. They were probably training in CT to do the same at the time.

I couldn't find the original interview by itself but it is on the first part of this Alex Jones interview.

Connecticut Gun Group Issues Ultimatum to Government: Molon Labe, Or Repeal

http://bearingarms.com/uploads//2013/11/800px-Molon_labe-e1385738656138.jpg

Gun rights group Connecticut Carry has issued an ultimatum to politicians in the Constitution State today, telling the government that they should either follow through on their threats to try to confiscate more than 325,000 undocumented firearms and 2 million standard capacity magazines, or admit that they passed a law without the consent of the people, and will repeal it in its entirety:

…State officials look down the barrel of the laws that they created, and it is very probably that they now tremble as they rethink the extremity of their folly. Connecticut Carry calls on every State official, every Senator, and every Representative, to make the singular decision: Either enforce the laws as they are written and let us fight it out in court, or else repeal the 2013 Gun Ban in its entirety.

As many media sources have pointed out, there is very little compliance with the new edicts, and there is absolutely no way for the State to know who is obeying the law or not. State officials have made their bluff, and Undersecretary Lawlor has made his position clear, that the State will enforce the laws. We say: Bring it on. The officials of the State of Connecticut have threatened its citizens by fiat. They have roared on paper, but they have violated Principle. Now it’s time for the State to man-up: either enforce its edicts or else stand-down and return to the former laws that did not so violently threaten the citizens of this state.

There is nothing that will so completely destroy faith in those edicts faster than the State-provoked chaos and violence that will be required to enforce the 2013 anti-gun laws. Connecticut residents should not have to live in perpetual fear of “the jack boot” coming down on them. Unenforced, frequently repeated threats fall on deaf ears. By passing laws that they cannot or choose not to enforce, State officials tell the public that this State is ignorant, immoral, blind, and impotent in its legal and decision making processes. The passage of such foolishly conceived, insufferable laws is an affront to every law-abiding citizen. Every official who supports such legal foolishness mocks our State and the Constitution they swore to uphold.

If the state does not have the stomach to enforce these laws, then the legislature has until May 7th, 2014 to completely repeal these immoral edicts and let the residents of Connecticut return to their rightfully owned property and former exercise of constitutional rights and practices without any threat of State violence.

“From Governor Malloy, to Undersecretary Lawlor to DESPP, Commissioner Schriro, and Lieutenant Cooke of the firearms unit, and including Lt. Paul Vance, the state needs to shit, or get off the pot. The fact is, the state does not have the balls to enforce these laws. The laws would not survive the public outcry and resistance that would occur.” – Connecticut Carry Director Ed Peruta

If officials of the State of Connecticut opt to get ‘froggy’ (jumping on citizens) and start to enforce the new laws (as officials have claimed a desire to do), Connecticut Carry stands ready to do whatever it takes and whatever it can do to represent and defend anyone impacted by the State’s violence.

That sounds very much like a “come and take them” challenge to the government of Connecticut, especially those legislators who voted for this blatantly unconstitutional law over the will of the people.

The dramatic choice of language from Connecticut Carry Director Ed Peruta is striking, and seems to indicate that this group, at least, has no intention of quietly accepting threats emanating from state government.

What the Badge Means

Those who do the bidding of a supposed “authority” usually go out of their way to make it clear that they are doing so. When a soldier dons his military attire, marches in formation, or gets into a military vehicle; when a cop puts on his uniform and gets into the car marked “POLICE”; when a plain clothes “government” agent – whether from the FBI, IRS, U.S. Marshals, or any other agency – shows his “badge” or announces his“official” title, he is making a very specific statement, which can be summed up as follows:

“I am not acting as a thinking, responsible, independent human being, and should not be treated as such. I am not personally responsible for my actions, because I am not acting from my own free will or my own judgment or right and wrong. I am, instead, acting as the tool of something superhuman, something with the right to rule you and control you. As such, I can do things that you can’t. I have rights that you don’t. You must do as I say, submit to my commands, and treat me as your superior, because I am not a mere human being. I have risen above that. Through my unquestioning obedience and loyalty to my masters, I have become a piece of the superhuman entity called ‘authority.’ As a result, the rules of human morality do not apply to me, and my actions should not be judged by the usual standards of human behavior."

This bizarre, mythical, cult-like belief is held by every “law enforcer” in the world. It is horribly dangerous for anyone to imagine himself to have an exemption from the basic rules of right and wrong, yet that is exactly what every agent of “government” imagines. Despite the fact that soldiers and “law enforcers” usually display their “official” uniforms with great pride, what they are actually doing is publicly displaying the fact that they are delusional, have a completely warped and demented view of reality, and have betrayed the very thing that made them human: their free will and the personal responsibility that goes along with it. Every person who claims to act on behalf of “authority” is demonstrating that he has accepted an utterly ridiculous lie: that his position, his badge, his office dramatically changes what behaviors are moral and what behaviors are immoral.

The idea is patently insane, but is rarely recognized as such because even the victims of the enforcers share in this delusion.

Connecticut halts plans to round up firearms after finding most cops in the state are on the list

Connecticut has been making news due to their hastily passed gun registration laws. According to some sources as few as 15% of gun owners have actually registered their firearms. News Blogs have been warning state officials are talking about mass confiscations of the unregistered firearms.

Plans for these confiscations hit a snag when a legislative intern dared to ask a question. “Who will be going door to door to take all the guns away?” asked the 21-year-old college senior.

Reportedly multiple people in the room in the most sarcastic voices they could muster said “the police”.

The unnamed intern then pointed at the list and said, “my dad’s name is on the list, and he is the police chief. I see three other names on this list of family members, all cops.”

With in hours a print off of all sworn Law Enforcement officers in the state was obtained. Comparisons of the list of gun owners who failed to comply with registration requirements and sworn LEOs showed a startling figure. Just over 68% of Connecticut cops had failed to register firearms according to the new law.

An anonymous source in the Governors office said lawmakers were dumbfounded. “Someone suggest firing all the cops who failed to register. But the reality of hiring and training that many new police officers is not practical.” The source goes on to say “Senator [redacted to protect our source] said maybe we should issue an official order to all cops to comply with registration or face termination. I mean seriously these people are a special kind of stupid to think that gun-loving cops are going to go along with this blatant violation of the 2nd Amendment.”

So now Connecticut is in little quagmire. The powers that be are making all kinds of threats, but there is no one to follow through on the threats.

No police officers or police administrators were willing to go on record for this story. Emails to members of the Connecticut legislator and Governors office were not returned by the time of publication.

UN SMALL ARMS TREATY

At the USJF we are monitoring the next moves Obama will make now that he has had John Kerry sign the blatantly anti Second Amendment UN Small Arms treaty. The very signing of the treaty is an unconstitutional action that violates the oath of office taken by both Kerry and Obama. We will work diligently to keep the treaty from being ratified by the necessary two-thirds of the Senate, but we are also concerned that Obama will try to implement parts of the treaty without Senate approval. That will result in an immediate lawsuit by the Justice Foundation.

Conn. police refuse to enforce new gun laws

A showdown is developing between a sizable number of Connecticut state police officers and the politicians who passed into law highly restrictive gun control, gun bans, and bans on high capacity magazines.

Gun rights legal expert and activist David Hardy reported Friday that 250 law enforcement officers in Connecticut have signed an open letter stating that they will not enforce the new anti-gun and magazine laws, which they consider to be a violation of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

A major news story on these developments is due to be published soon, but Hardy received an advanced notice via email from Tyler Jackson, the head of the Connecticut Peace Officers Association, the organization that sent the open letter.

According to Hardy,

Tyler Jackson has emailed me an interesting story, soon to appear online (I'll link to it once it does)-- the gist is that the head of the Connecticut Peace Officers' Assn has released an open letter stating that the police will not "be party to the oppression of the people of the state by enforcing an unconstitutional law." So far 250 LEOs have cosigned the letter.

Gunowners in the state have already ignored the mandate to comply with the new laws, refusing to register with the state government their possession of so-called "assault weapons" and forbidden magazines.

It is estimated that over 300,000 gunowners have practiced civil disobedience in refusing to register and give up the newly forbidden items. Only roughly 50,000 citizens in the state have complied.

But now these courageous citizens have key support in high places. With at least 250 law enforcement officers joining them in disobeying an unconstitutional law, the gunowners have a new weapon in their arsenal -- the support of hundreds of police officers.

Hardy reported that with the lack of support of police, Connecticut faces massive civilian resistance, with police officers refusing to enforce a law that to most citizens crosses a line that is unacceptable in a free society.

If such a thing can happen in a deeply blue state in New England, what would law enforcement encounter if they attempted such an ill-fated attack on Constitutionally-protected rights in Texas, Wyoming, South Carolina, Utah, or Kentucky?

This is something that the political powers that be in government and law enforcement -- and in the Courts -- should think long and hard about before acting in such a knee-jerk fashion as Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, and Massachusetts have done.

Threats to CT Police Escalate Following CT Cop’s Gun Confiscation Comments – Pro-Gun Veteran Asked to Help Calm Things Down

There have been reports that Navy veteran John Cinque has been receiving threats because of his stance on the issue of Connecticut’s gun registration law. Apparently those reports are due to a misreading of a piece by the New Haven Register in which Cinque said, “There have been threats made — that I found out about today.” Freedom Outpost reached out to John Cinque, who spoke with us this morning and confirmed that the threats he was speaking about were towards the Branford Police, not towards him.

“The cops are having the threats…. they are scared,” he told us.

According to Cinque, Officer Joseph Peterson, who made comments in interaction on Facebook while off duty that he would “give my left nut to bang down your door and come for your gun…” has been placed on 24-hour guard due to threats on his life. This information came directly from Police Chief Kevin Halloran.

Mr. Cinque told us that he had a two and a half hour “sit down” with the Branford Police Department on Tuesday. He said that the Branford PD was supposed to come out with an apology for Peterson’s comments and wanted Cinque’s endorsement of the apology in an attempt to cool things down.

“The first words out of the police chief’s mouth… were ‘How can you help us with this?’” Cinque said. “They’re getting killed over there. They said they can do nothing but deal with this.”

Cinque’s endorsement would not be automatic. “There are some things here that need to be addressed before I endorse the apology,” he said. “Don’t make the apology to me. The apology has to be to the residents of Branford and to the citizens of the State of Connecticut.”

“If we are looking to tamp this thing down…none of us need violence here,” Cinque continued.

“We’re winning this thing; we’re winning this thing hard here,” Cinque said, referring to the efforts to ignore unconstitutional and unlawful legislation that seeks to have citizens register their semi-automatic rifles and high capacity magazines.

“That’s the last thing we need,” he added, referring to violence.

“We’re going to try to throw water on this thing and get it calmed down …” Cinque said. “The whole premise of where Joe’s coming from has to be addressed, and now it has been … Now it’s time to calm it down …

“The problem now is, we have a forest fire burning, and we’ve got to see how we can go about extinguishing it,” he said.

John Cinque stressed that threats and violence on both sides is not what will win the day. “None of us wants violence anyway.”

Cinque also pointed out that no ex post facto laws or retainers can be instituted, and that doesn’t apply to just guns.

For his part, Cinque said there would have to be several things in the apology before he would endorse it. One of those things would be remedial training in the United States Constitution for Officer Joseph Peterson and the other officers of the Branford Police Department. Another would be a stand that the Police Department would not be involved in the enforcement of the gun registration law.

Branford Police as scheduled to contact John Cinque today. At the time of the writing of this article, they have not done so. The purpose of the contact, according to Mr. Cinque, is to get his approval of their apology, which they will seek to have broadcast via television with Mr. Cinque lending his approval to the apology.

While Mr. Cinque has been thrown into a whirlwind of news publicity in the past week, he is confident that cooler heads will prevail and wants to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. That solution is to have constitutionally educated law enforcement officers, who also understand the history of gun registration / confiscation, and a citizenry who elect lawmakers who understand the same.

Mr. Cinque has said that he will update us on any progress of the Branford Police apology. If, and when, it becomes public, we will provide our readers with that information.

This is a lesson in how to deal with this issue in your own town, county and state. The people must be vocal and they must not back down. Threats of violence are not the way to go about things. Citizens are to remain vigilant, and the only proper use of force would be defensively. I applaud the efforts of patriots like John Cinque and others who have drawn a line in the sand, and unlike certain occupants of the White House, don’t blink when the line is crossed.
