It's helping a lot here. We might get a couple of feet of snow in the mountains from this storm. Yesterday and today has been heavy rains where I'm at, been stuck inside the whole time. Also, a big swell is coming tomorrow. 23 foot waves to reach our shores. Will be interesting to see if the surfers paddle out, or get towed in by jetskis.

^ Milehi, you've done better then me then,

We got 1 1/2 last night, hasn't been very heavy today, I just checked the gauge 1/4 so far, maybe it will pick up tonight.

Should be heading your way. I've been getting a lot of rain today. I don't have a gauge, but at least a few inches. I wonder if Brewtech is getting any rain.

Life is great folks.

You should head down here and catch some waves. Big swell coming. I'll watch from the beach and have a beer ready to hand you afterwards. :)

BrewTech is indeed getting rain. Brewtech got stuck up on the roof at work in the rain trying to figure out what was wrong with his brand new chilling system following a major electrical problem at work. Soaked, but at least it is a very warm rain. 65 degrees plus here.
Windy... enough to cover all the streets with tree material of various breeds. Car accidents? Yes... why can't people drive when it rains?

Looking at heavy rain through Saturday.

2.44" today from a serious amateur weather station. I saw 1.86" on another more official site. Call it 2".

California is surely not a No Spin zone.

About 55 degrees. The surf was mostly to dangerous for only the most experienced guys to paddle out. Maybe 15 foot waves, but the currents were ripping down the beach. A few guys paddled out but were lucky to catch even one wave.

Rain has stopped. Not sure how many inches we got here, but a lot. I hope this storm made a big dent in our drought situation.

Significant Ice Storm About To Start For Parts Of Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky Through Tonight

(TheWeatherSpace.com) – A significant ice storm is about to begin this afternoon and evening, lasting through the night for parts of Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky as a storm system ejecting out of the plains from California moves in. TWS Ice Storm Warnings are in effect, issued yesterday evening for this event and large metro areas like Memphis, Jackson, and Nashville Tennessee will be affected.

The most concentration of significant ice 0.50″ of greater will be from around Little Rock, Arkansas, through most of Eastern Arkansas, Central to Western Tennessee, and the southern parts of Kentucky. Latest radar images shows freezing rain developing over Northern Arkansas right now and the area of most significant ice forecasted is still within the rain as I write this. However, over the afternoon and evening this will gradually turn to freezing rain and then heavy freezing rain will fall through the evening/overnight hours into early Monday morning.

Many asked why they weren’t in the Ice Storm Warning in Eastern Tennessee for Cleveland and Knoxville. Ice Storm Warnings at TheWeatherSpace.com are for 0.10 – 0.25″ or higher in some parts and significant ice is 0.50″. If you get 0.10 and under, you are not in the criteria for that type of warning.

Severe storm potential possible at times for Eastern TX, most of Louisiana, Southern Arkansas, and the Central/Southern half of Mississippi through tonight …
