Will happen abt 4:45 min from this posting
An asteroid with the diameter of two school buses is scheduled to pass the Earth at a rather close distance on Wednesday. Named 2014 DX110, the 98-foot asteroid was discovered by the Pan-STARRS 1 survey on Feb. 28, according to Universe Today (http://www.universetoday.com/109997/watch-the-close-pass-of-neo-asteroid-2014-dx110-wednesday-night/).
The asteroid, racing at a speed of 32,000 miles per hour, will pass within 216,000 miles of our blue planet, which is closer to us than our moon is. It's an Apollo-class asteroid, a group of near-Earth asteroids first detected in 1932, and has an orbital period of 1192 days.
