From the other forum (http://www.truthinourtime.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20056):
I would HIGHLY suggest any of you who have AKs, Mosins, or other Russian firearms to ACT RIGHT NOW to get more ammunition for them. Zero the Fail's "sanctions" are imminent, and could likely include a complete ban on importation or even sale of Russian-manufactured goods.
Avoid the rush (and higher prices) by acting NOW.
Pretty much official now...

Humm,
One reason to use the cartage/ammo that the nation you live in. On another front, look where the ammo is produced if what you are shooting is an import rifle. Always best to use the calibers and ammo of the nation you live in, because it will be local and not imported.
Bar none!

I've noticed they never post their actual inventory during 'non-crisis' times, I think they keep the numbers low to motivate buyers as in, "Look! They're running low, better grab some now before they run out!" since they keep adjusting what they show in stock. However with the run I wouldn't bet on them having it in stock in the near future.

The word is getting out to cause a panic. Say goodbye to russian ammo for quite a while.
*Breaking: Ammo Rush Begins Again As Russia Halts Soviet Ammunition Exports to the US!
March 5, 2014 By The Doc
In the wake of the Sandy Hook tragedy and fears of new control legislation from the Obama administration, extreme shortages of ammunition have been sustained over the past 12-24 months, as panicked Americans have raided the shelves of Cabelas and gun-shows across the country buying literally every round they can get their hands on.
Combined with multi-billion round purchases from gov’t 3 letter acronyms such as the DHS and FBI, (including even the USPS and IRS), the shortages have continued even as manufacturers have responded by drastically increasing production.
Over the past 6-12 months, shortages of some calibers such as 7.62 used in the popular AK-47 semi-automatic weapon have been alleviated somewhat via massive imports of Russian production.
That is about to change.

I almost pulled the trigger on 500rnds of 7.62x39 last week when I bought 1000rnds of 7.62x51 Lake City. Both were on sale and I was kicking myself. I stopped by my favorite pawn shop today and found 440rnds of NOS Norinco to add to the stash so I'm feeling a little better now.

What are your prices?
I paid about .80/rnd for some LC at a gun show not too long ago and picked up some some Wolf 7.62x39 for about .27/rnd at the same table.

Looks like shooters will have to buy ammo through gunbroker.com, for twice the price!
It's too bad about all this, if it weren't for Israel, we'd probably be allies.
Cabelas has Herter's 762.39 for $.28 - $.30 a round
Bass Pro has Tula for $.26 a round
