I can't believe the title of this facebook group.
"Changing the definition of murder to include animals"

These people would have you put in jail for flushing a goldfish down a toilet.

I just finished eating a thick juicy steak that was delicious along with two red baked potatoes covered with real butter and salt and pepper. I didn't know the potato before it died but I knew the cow that steak was made out of all her life.

She was a black cow and had never done a lick of work her entire life. She spent her days eating, sleeping and walking back and forth to water holes. She had sex with several bulls but never got pregnant so I decided she was worthless and not earning her keep raising calves so I made meat out of her.

She was fat, slick and shiney the day a friend of mine showed up that owns a small local processing plant. I'd poured a little corn out on the ground and she was munching away on a mouth full of that when he shot her square in the head with a .223. She dropped like a rock and I'm sure she didn't feel a thing.

I'd always made sure she had plenty of feed, water and good health care all here life. The bulls I provided for her entertainment were young, viral, strong, and good looking. I think she had a pretty good life and if she had it to do over again all things considered I bet she'd do it again.

If animals are included in elements of murder, we are going to need a lot more LE. I witnessed several murders today. A pelican caught a big fish and ate it. That pelican committed murder. That poor fish.

While surfing today a sea otter poked me on the leg while I was waiting to catch a wave. That's assault and battery.

I decided she was worthless and not earning her keep

Turns out she wasn't worthless and she did in fact earn her keep - she filled your freezer.

We once had an orphaned calf we named Andre. We had to nurse him with formula until weaning in a pen we built for him in the back yard. He was a pet (of course we turned him into a steer) and followed us around like a dog. Andre made for some fine eating when the time came and ended up filling our freezer. Every time we had steaks we would recall fond memories of our pet steer Andre.

You're right about her not being completely worthless but she was for the purpose I originaly intended for her raising calves. It's best not to let women raise livestock from a baby because a lot of time they won't let you eat them and they don't want anyone else eating them either.

Glad you were able to deal with the grief of Andre's passing and enjoy his gift of food for you. First you fed and took care of him then he fed you. Seems like a fair trade.

From the page:

Animals are here WITH us, not FOR us!*

Somebody tell this numbskull if his great grand daddy didnt down a few steer (cause meat was always a luxury) he wouldnt have had enough lead in his pencil to get the family tree sprouting leaves.

I always look at the glass half/full theory before speaking.

this whole issue (animal protection rights) is absurd and cynical at the time but also dramatic as it tells us that if animals have (or could have) more right than Humans, it is because human rights are just barely or non existent; I mean that if we, humans, were sovereign individuals, domesticated and farmed animals would be treated a lot more decently hence, and we wound't have to deal with PETA' s agenda and the like...

this animal rights issue is negatively mirroring our deplorable and pitiable situation.

I fail to see where the grief was involved with Andre. We knew from the get-go what his propose in life was, and he always got lots of lovin' - the animals we showed then sold at auction didn't have it so good. Every time we ate some more of him we celebrated his life recalling him by name - which pretty much no other cows ever get. Bon appetit!

PETA is just another parasitic non-profit organization (like so many others) doing absolutely nothing of any value while holding its hand out. The permanent staff of these organizations have as their primary objective the goal of raising as MUCH money as possible with their stated goal being secondary, if not tertiary.
