When is the search for a proper boat trailer going to be seen as an addiction and a disease rather than a crime? Is it even a crime if the police did not have a boat trailer to exchange? Is possessing the photo of a boat trailer now going to be criminalized?

Police say Iowa man tried to trade sex for a boat trailer
An Iowa man is accused of posting an offer on Craigslist to give sex in exchange for a boat trailer.
Stan Syring, 37, of Clarence, met with an undercover Marion, Iowa Police officer who responded to his Craigslist ad Tuesday, March 4, 2014.
The two met the following Monday, March 10, and agreed to an undisclosed sex act in exchange for Syring getting a boat trailer.
Then Syring was arrested.
Court records show Syring was charged with one count of prostitution, which is an aggravated misdemeanor.
Jail records say he was booked and later released from the Linn County Jail.

I think it can be part of the consideration, like a deal sweetener, but it can't be the whole of the consideration. Personally I am not interested in testing the theory in court. You might find yourself carrying that sweetener forward, maybe for your stint at the Linn County big house.

You know reason why the state intervened?
They couldnt tax a transaction between two conesting adults.
So it busted up the party.

So are you implying you'd consider the deal if the trailer specs were what you're looking for...?
I can see by your avatar that you're very interested in finding the right boat trailer...

There's this funny ass queer guy that rents a house from a friend of mine, claims he's the hottest piece of ass in three states.
If I can broker a deal for him to go down on this guy and it only costs me a couple hundred, I'm ahead.
A trailer for the boat in my avatar runs in the used market between $1500 in the the low end to $4-5 grand for a new one.

Buy a Mig welder.

Mig is good, but....one need to understand about tying in the metal in the joints, same way as tig, stick or any welding process. Spent one hell of a bunch of time under a hood, to do right, one needs to have the joint clean or have and run a heat high enough to boil off the crap, at the same time, make sure there is a good tie (melt) in with the metal being welded.
Api pipeliner, asme code welder fitter. back in the day
I have story that are true of great looking welds but no tie in on one side.
Now back to my movie, latest bond one..I wait and choose when I want to watch , after a great fishing day..
I am ready.. Good eating,
Suckers...toung in cheek.

Mig is great for all but the metals it can't do such as chrome moly. I only have a little mig, forget the amps but it can do 12" I-beams. Of course the lights and everything in the house go out if I forget to shut everything else off. TIG is an art that I have not tried or have equipment for. I gave my stick rig away after the MIG, useless in comparison on what I use it for, mainly automotive/repairs.

joint prep is everything, no scail/rust clean metal. then it takes to spend the time for the tie in, if too long you will have a melt threw/blowout keep it clean and bear metal. Any rust after grinding, one can burn though, easy. But it does take the mind directing the stick(favorite) or mig/tig..tig I when available used to do a root pass, then switched to ether stick or mig for fill and or cap. Thousands of welds, and no busts, unless you want to count when I was learning. I used to do tig for root passes, then stick/mig for fill/cap. Any welder knows what I am talking about. Tig is good for very thin metals, or root passes say as in pipelining.
Been tested x ray, and other ways they test,, dye and magmatic when they could get the tester in to do the test. Magnetic flux.
Welding is easy if you know what to look for, and know how to hold the heat to boil out the krap. the real trick is on the thickness of the metal, hold the heat too long and burn through, (bad),,,
Now back to my movie... One thing about being where I am at in life, have done a huge bunch of jobs and learned all of them to the max.
The more you knew and can do the better the paycheck.. I got some very good pay checks in my time.

I will ether do a pm, or
chrome molly can be welded to the point that everything will break, but not the weld.
But one has to understand what is happening in front of the hood.
now back to my movie.. Edit: If you understand what you are welding/joining it is cool.
If you do not it turns into a crap shoot.
I can weld or join dam near anything, as long as my rod/stick/filler material is compatible,,
The trick is understanding the material being joined, some needs pre heat post or after (like cast iron_try to weld cast iron without pre heat and post heat you will fail or it will crack)
Not the time, the movie is getting good.
just starting. want to have fun, try welding drill pipe that has been yanked out of the ground that is magnitic.. you arc will go everywhere other than where you want it too.
Movie.

Finding the right boat trailer is a bitch. It really is one of those existential propositions up there with; Is there life after death? And is there an end to the Universe? How did life start? Some pain in the arse may seem like a small price to pay for the right answer for some!

You guys should have a mig/tig/stick welding thread :-).
When I was learning to weld I was told the root pass is the most important pass in the weld. I have welded a little in my time, no pressure vessel or pipefitting, but quite a bit of heavy equipment and structural. Never had access to a tig welder for root passes, but I can see where It would be the cats meow. The old guys who taught me used 5p for a root pass.
I worked with some expert welders underground. One was a young man who learned to weld in a welding school. He could make the most beautiful work you ever saw in the shop with new material. But send him up to the heading to weld something the miners broke that was muddy, and rusted, forget It. He didn't know how to boíl the rust and impurities out of the joint, so his welds usually failed.
In later years I did get to use a tig and mig for welding aluminium in the truck shops.
