Yes, I have considered that. I'd say my pro-American bias may be equivalent to his pro-Russian bias, which is to say that I recognize the many faults of my country, but still maintain personal allegiance to it because deep down I care about it.

Both sides of that war were nuts, and bunch of bystanders were standing/living in the wrong place. The us had no lock on the killing, hell the soviets had more of a hard on against the germans, and imo for good reason.

Both sides decided to rip the holy shit out of civilian populations, under the theory that that kind of bombing would make the population want to end the war, It must be hell living and knowing that there is a target on top of your skull and thinking is today going to be the day?

I heard their storys, they could have not all lied. It is a historical truth that both the german camps were like a roach trap, you went in but did not come out. The Russians overall were worse so far after the war, their war prisoners most of them went poof, after being worked to death. South of me just outside of tyler,texas there was a war camp for captured germans, they were treated very well, compared to the Nazi's. The Nazi's brand of national socialism killed a huge number of people.

Most german pows here were treated not so bad, it was the japs that got the short end of the stick, and with good reason. Tho what this nation did to the people of Asian decent that were good citizens by up rooting them and placed them in those dam camps is to me a national shame. But on the battlefield they deserved everything they got, along with their partner Germany. Then we made the huge mistake under the Marshall plan, we helped them rebuild.

GDP is not revenue. Annual government revenue is about $2.8T, so it's like having a mortgage 6x annual income. At the same time, expenditures (not including debt service, i.e. mortgage payment) are already 10% greater than revenue. So it would be like running a household with this monthly cash flow:

Non-Mortgage Expenditures: $5,500
