When the dollar goes down the drain there will be no limit as to how high silver will go up.....in the long run I suspect that it will be higher than gold...did you know that there is more gold than silver above ground?

How much value would the dollar have to lose in one year to be considered a "collapse"?

It really doesn't matter how high silver will go up but rather how high what you want to buy will cost........example, you are dying of thirst, in the dessert, and someone offers you a glass of ice water for ten gold coins, what would you do?, can't shoot him, you have no gun.

I don't believe any of this crap anymore. Although I have done all right buying physical, selling to make a profit and getting back in when I think its reasonable. Should get some more again under 20 bucks today.

By looking at the present you cannot predict the future......I, for one, am only getting ready for the future according as how the population are acting to the present.........hummmmmmmmm, better buy more ammo.

The Cartel is "just" implementing the Strong Dollar policy, one of whose facets is currency manipulation, including precious metals.

I think one of the games that is going on right now is to force mining companies to 'see the light' and to bind themselves into legal supply contracts (AKA futures options) that limit their prices to allow 'reasonable' profits.

If you're a bullion bank, and you're asking a mining company to sign a contract to deliver $1350 Gold a year from now, you have a good "stick" with which to coerce them if Silver is $1295 and falling.

Then the bullion banks can turn around in a year, e.g. when Gold is $1750, and say, "will you look at that ! We made $400 an ounce on our money, in less than a year". Of course, they are leveraged, so they can easily make 100% on their money.

I like the scenario where physical shortages become enough of an impediment to industry that industrial end-users, e.g. Apple, buy a mine or 2 and take receipt of the metal directly.

I have seen that happen in Silicon Valley where an electronics company had difficulty getting machined parts sourced. Their life got easier when they brought all that machining work indoors.

Regardless of that fantasy, I think the Cartel will continue playing their game (which will at times mean allowing prices to run up) until physical shortages make it impossible to do so.

This is the first I've heard of this bill. Guess I've been too busy. What the hell will it do?
