The position of our country is independent of the UN," Swiss president Didier Burkhalter told a press conference in Bern, saying Switzerland can only use sanctions when they are based upon "international law and the interests of the Swiss".

"And in this case the rights and the interests play a role... we need to find a balance," he added, as well as noting that Russian interests in Switzerland were "very large".

Well the Swiss managed to pretty much stay out of 2 world wars.

Smart, very smart.

Now we have Germany joining with Switzerland.

Perhaps a little payback for NSA tapping Merkel's phone?

Switzerland is the loophole-safe haven the elites designed for themselves , it is an NWO fortress. In time of war especially it is good to have a so called neutral territory.

Exactly, not only that if Germany introduces trade sanctions against Russia, they would introduce trade sanctions back. IOW not buy Germany's products, and Russia buys a lot from Germany, way more than Germany imports from Russia (mostly in the form of natural gas, I believe). In essence Germany would be way more hurt than Russia in a trade war. First no energy, in a situation were Germany have decided to scrap all their nuclear power plants, and a collapse of their export industry. Russia would end up with a better trade balance, sure they would end up keeping their natural gas in the ground instead of selling it now.
