Ask the doctor about some of his personal non medical information! Ask him if there are any marital aids in the house or how often he has sex and with who! Whay not he is asking questions that are none of his business. This totally out of the bounds of what a GP should be asking you.This is just paving the way to remove lots of gun owners from their firearms!

i thought it was pretty funny that my kids instinctively lied to her. my daughter had this whole "i'm afraid of guns" act going on (from a kid who wants a gsg 522 and a single action ruger for her birthday. no party, she wants "her own guns").

It does beg the question. These people sound creepy as. I thought it was creepy enough that right after our first child the doctor wanted to know if we intended on having another and if not she could organise something...I was like "How about we just let the stiches heal first, then we'll have a think about it"

But asking about guns the whole time? Man that is off the charts on the creep-o-meter.

beats me. i know her socially, on very friendly terms, that's why i took the kids to her (i fish with her husband in league). it was nothing malicious like they thought i was a killer or anything, she just kept going through forms and stuff on her mayo health care computer and there were repeated questions about firearms. come to think of it, it now seems like it was more from the mayo system than her. upon reflection now, she was going down a list when she asked them.

she can't think i'm that bad of a guy, i watched her kid who has downs syndrome at the bowling alley 2 months ago while she ran home to get something or other.

i'd be interested to see if these large institutions have a new policy...regardless, the kids won't be back unless they need something benign. the whole rest of my family is their regular doctor(s).

Scoliosis check-up, you'ld get a better assessment from a chiropractor. Or you can do one very easily yourself... Ask your child to bend forward with straight legs and feet together, with their shirt off or a thin t-shirt. Look for ribs 'hump' on either side of the spine, if it looks symmetrical they are fine, if it sticks out more on one side, they may have a scoliosis. Interesting thing about scoliosis is that if you have less than 30° curve, you are not likely to experience more back pain in your life than someone who have none...

Went with the mrs to boy #3's checkup 'bout a month ago and asked if we had any guns as well. We answered no and that was that.
First time they ever asked about that.
