Went to the mall yesterday to check it out cause i haven't been there in months and most every store had huge discount add posters in their windows with staff out at the open door trying to coax customers inside to do some looking/shopping but most were content to stay outside and window shop.
Didn't look like anyone was buying much of anything even with the huge discounts.
Are things really as bad as they look out there, looks grim.

my brother is one of the execs for a large real estate company that owns & runs ... large shopping centers.
he doesn't talk much about his work.
the subject of economic collapse f r e a k s h i m o u t.
i would say that, overall, the US economy is very grim.
but there are places which have the appearance of hustle & bustle & growth.

Malls up in MI are ghost towns, about 1 of 3 are closed. Down here we were just at a mall, half was empty the other half was occupied. We went into Sears and it was a baron deserted warehouse full of brand new stuff. There were employees and 2 other people besides us in there. I don't know how they can keep the doors open. Perhaps internet sales are the only thing keeping them open.
