HealthCare.gov has a lot of visitors right now! We need you to wait here, so we can make sure there’s room for you to have a good experience on our site.
While you wait, here are some things you can do to get ready to enroll:
Gather important documents and numbers - here’s a list (https://www.healthcare.gov/get-covered-a-1-page-guide-to-the-health-insurance-marketplace/)
Browse health plans available in your area (https://www.healthcare.gov/find-premium-estimates/)
Find out if you might be able to get lower costs using our quick calculator (https://www.healthcare.gov/how-can-i-get-an-estimate-of-costs-and-savings-on-marketplace-health-insurance/)

Shucks I forgot to bring my important documents, in fact I wasn't notified to be prepared for anything.

The site NAME alone is a joke.
Health CARE is YOUR responsibility!
Insurance is your OPTION if you want assistance in PAYing for a doctor!
Why bring a middleman into the picture when PAYing for anything? How stupid!

Any tax or penalty is on a corporation only. Corporations need not sign up for medical care because they never catch cold.

And if you don't sign up you have to pay a "shared responsibility payment". Is it a fee? Is it a tax? Who knows, but if you don't pay it, they'll send men over to break your kneecaps.

Good point… I haven’t received one correspondence from this government about any new obligation. Is Faux/CNN/MSNBC television officially how the king informs the serfs now?

Ignorance of the "law" is no excuse, or so they say as they cuff you and take you away.

A favorite misquote. Here is how it goes in reality
Ignorance of law, consists in the want of knowledge of those laws which it is our duty to understand, and which every man is presumed to know.
One law you are not supposed to be ignorant of goes 'Deuteronomy 25:13
Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.'

How would they know if you have private insurance or not? Will they still snag your tax return or what? I am meeting with my CPA tomorrow, I will ask him.

There are actually "for sale" type signs that are advertising obeezy care. "Sign up for Obamacare!" (phone #) "Or call" (phone #)

That should only apply to things you oughtent not do, not to things that are somehow required to gain privilege.
Liability insurance as an example required for a registered vehicle, if there is no registered vehicle is not required.
thus hencely, I will throw my body upon the court and ask them to show me where the identification number is clearly marked :)

Now they can shift the burden to the Punishment Industry, which I am sure is far more efficient than the Forced Ersatz Healthcare Industry.
Palani--what do you mean 'a tax or a penalty is on a corporation only.?' This sounds like it only applies to your ALL CAPS strawman, and if you refuse to claim responsibility for that corporate entity, they can't make you pay the tax or penalty. My strawman never gets sick. But when I get sick, he has no one to 'represent' him.

I don't have any FRNs. They belong to corporations. No one is forcing you into that status of accepting legal tender in lieu of payment. You are there voluntarily. If you volunteered in you certainly can volunteer out. Wasn't it Will Rogers that said 'If stupidity got us in this mess then why cannot stupidity get us out?"
Things that have a beginning must also have an end. You choose to end it or you choose to continue to battle.

CPA says to pay the fine for each person in my family. Doesn't matter if you have private insurance or not, the IRS will still deduct the fine from any refund you may get. If you get no refund they will put a silent lien against any property you might have, IE car, boat, home... Says to set up an FLP (Family Limited Partnership) and put my assets into that instead of a Blind Trust. I have not looked into this yet but I will need to keep my income below poverty level so they don't send the Jack Boots after me...

Old farts or semi that have did the dumb thing of serving in the military for this country and met the contract that was signed and pledged.
Need not worry..
Payback for running the risk of getting killed or maimed serving this country.
Lifetime commitment! Mileage will vary!

I can't see why you still will be penalized for having private insurance. I need to look into this crap closer but the 5000 page law is clear as mud.

I can't see why you still will be penalized for having private insurance. I need to look into this crap closer but the 5000 page law is clear as mud. That one if true , I can not understand ether.
Edit: the name of the game is to not bring or cause any load on the local gov, privet sector. Tho in my area, yes you got hurt no insurance, you got basic (very) and sent on your way and they tryed to bill you. I have known several , more than I care, that have died , good people, but died. Because there was no money to be made off them, to try and help fix them.
I can not say, ether way, I am covered as a vet, even if I had not a clue as far as a year ago, thanks again "Ponce".
But many do not have that. NOT deadbeats, ones that are good family's /people.. That work their ass's off, but are stuck. One paychec or less driven to less than the poverty line. And never rise above it, because paying for health/ and raising a family on next to nothing.
But they died, because they were not "worth" saving..
Girr.
Yes , deadbeats, give them nothing, but do not diss the ones that try and try to make good.
Not everyone is blessed above hand to mouth, and keeps their dignity.
I suspect most here have not a clue abt what I just said..
I am not for or against this thing, obammer thing or not. But if it can help the ones that truly need help I am for it. The dead weight can go to hell.
