If and when silver gets to be about $25 an ounce, I think I am going to cash it all in. I could make money now if I sold at today's current price but I was hoping for something better.

I should have sold at $40 when the price was high. I know.. Should have, could have, would have. uffff

I gave up trying to 'make money' off of Ag (or Au) long ago, now I see it strictly as a means of preserving wealth in the (very) long term, along with many other forms of 'hard money' which certainly include 'the other precious metals' - if you get my drift. I have no intention of divesting my PMs anytime soon because where would I go with that (store of) value? (other than perhaps land)

Agreed. But God! I have held it for years. It is not even keeping up with inflation. ( I don't think so anyway).

Do not get sucked into the illusion, there's no way that Ag will hold where it is, it's being used in irrecoverable uses in far greater volume than production. When (not if) it breaks out of the manipulation then look out!

I have held it for years.

My theory, and I'm convinced this is the case: Time is an illusion that keeps us from seeing that everything happens all at once. So if that's the case, what makes any difference? INTENTION. jmo of course.

Hold fast.

You know. I believe this too. Something has to give soon I would think. I am just confused. I know the value of the American Dollar is decreasing in value. I would expect real tangible items to increase in value. I truly believe the market is being manipulated. The dam has to bust soon.

I would suggest relaxing and not getting caught up in the 'soon' anticipation, just know that it's going to happen - eventually.

Just wait until there's a default on a Au/Ag delivery from Comex or the next shipment Germany is supposed to receive. [they didn't make the last one] I'm not looking to get rich either, just have a comfortable retirement.

Slow and steady wins the race.

And in a banking reset SILVER is going to be priced at between 200 and 400 dollars.

They have to raise the value of pms to cover the cost of all the money.

Silver will increase more than gold in this case as its been stomped on ect ect ,gold may go up 5 or 6 times in value.

They have nothing else to cover real currency.

If gold becomes infinite in price, meaning who wants dollars or cash anyway, then so will silver and so making silver and gold equal in value................................

As I have mentioned in the past, silver is a DOG and it will become more of a DOG when it continues to go down and hit $8 within 3 years from now (March 2017). There is more downside to go for silver.

Silver IS a dog, it is always loyal, but might not do what you want it to do all of the time. Like shit on the carpet, or interrupt your sex., but it's better to have it then to not.

All this phrasing and dissing of dogs reminds me to say , unless you know that dog, be wary of it! They can love and they also can bite. Unless they are an very old dog, then it is a toss up, does it have teeth or not? But the dogs pleasure is still the same, tho they will gum you into submission!

LoL!

My gut feeling is that it will be worth hundreds of dollars in 3 years but its not something I would go speaking about because gut feelings are not a reliable source of information.

You got lucky with your last gut feeling call. But again after the last blow off top of close to $50 it was easy to see how once the decline began that in all probability it wasn't going to bust through $50 proper...

...but $8 silver. You're dreaming.

The price of oil and coal would have to drop by at least 50% for this to be feasible and that ain't going to happen with the ammount of fiat they pumping out, besides this is the very fulcrum they are using to squeeze out every last bit of wealth.

A couple of months ago when Ag was $21 I made the prediction that silver would be $30 by mid year. Then there was another slight decline so I may have mistimed that one, but I still think $30 is achievable this year. I base my prediction on the fact that while plenty of volume has been seen in the market over the last say four months silver has not moved below $19 even though it has repeatedly approached this mark. If $8 silver were a reality I think we would've seen a decline well beyond $19 in this time frame, so IMO, $8 ain't going to happen any time this decade or maybe even century for that matter.

As I said, you got lucky once, even though it was obvious once the severe decline began that $50 was off the table.

We will have to agree to disagree on this. Every time that I am thinking of silver going down, I see that $8 level. I feel that silver will continue to go down from here and with a few dead cat bounces here and there before ultimately seeing $8 silver level on or before March 2017. As a WAG of what is going to happen for this year, I see silver breaking the 2013 intraday low of $18.14 sometime in the late Spring/early Summer period and I see silver reaching a low in the $14-$15 range for 2014. We will have to see how things play out. I have been bearish on silver since 2011 and I have not changed my bearish stance.

I agree, I sold out at around 50 and bought in between 12-18. But all I did was look at charts, and it was at around 4 for along time 4-8 was the range (if im not a complete asshole) but that was before my time. I could see it going back, look at the fucking stock market it's at wait let me check... 16,437.18, damn near the highest it's ever been, and for what? Fucking missing planes, Russia going Civilisation, Dude just stabed 19 ppl at a school, Fukashima, Unemployment has not fallen, fuckin Mudslides and shit. The market is Kirmit the fucking Frog, and they can do what ever they want until it all comes down.

I used that profit to buy several of the rare '70's silver art bars from Greathouse Productions, Duane Spellman's The Mint and other rare bars that were on my silver art bar wish list at that time. I was also able to find and buy some of the hard-to-find Coca-Cola silver art bars during the time with the profit that I earned from selling off a lot of my common stuff to the local dealers when spot was in the $40's since a lot of rare bars were coming out of the woodwork when spot was that high in early 2011. To this day, that was the best move that I made as a silver art bar collector because I completely overhauled my collection to the point where it includes 4X-5X as many rare silver art bars than before I made that move. The timing work out right for me at that time.

That's real cool, I like that you like something as much as you do, espessially silver :) I'm a cynical but young asshole, and don't like anything too much, but I like that you enjoy doing what you do, and even if you don't make a profit (which I'm sure you could) you get the happiness out of it, and that's worth more than any dollar amount.

I have been doing this for almost 6 years and my desire for them is as strong as when I started collecting them in August 2008. I do not consider my silver art bar collection to be an investment. I am just a collector. I am not an investor. When silver continues to fall from current levels, it will not bother me since this is just a hobby for me.
