I never read or hear the joosmedia calling machineguns or subguns anything but 'automatic weapons', why is that?? I have my suspicions, let's hear yours -

Some of us are old enough to remember when washers were washing machines and weldors were welding machines. In the advanced age of mechanization the "machine" suffix is dropped.

Ok, my take on this shit is that 'automatic weapons' is the buzzword for the meme *ONLY 'legitimate' forces of the 'legitimate' state should have 'automatic weapons'* and this meme INCLUDES semi-auto weapons. IF there was any acknowledgement that 'machineguns' do NOT equal semi-auto then that would open up a dialogue as to the distinction (between what the actual definition of an 'assault rifle' is and everything else) and the fact that machineguns and subguns ARE 'legally' owned by hundreds of thousands of people in the states. Of course the ultimate goal is a monopoly on force by the state.
