I really wonder if this kind of stuff is more renationalized than a general spread? The stuff I see posted here, the cops here try and do the same thing, believe me they will be gone. Charged "never" there has been crap, people killed, but the cops get the boot, but never are charged (so far) lose their cop license sometimes, think the bad ones from here end up in large city's I just do not have a clue.

I've said this before...and I'll say it again.
Whenever they say it's been forwarded to "internal affairs"...it's being looked at by other cops, no third party, etc. To have a just system, internal affairs must be managed by not the police dept...not cops on that dept, a third party group who has no affiliation with any of it.
Ignore what I say, but that's my thoughts on this.

Either that, or change to an all volunteer police department.

That could work in some very small towns, but might be a challenge for the bigger areas. Would you volunteer, be sworn in, in your local town? I like the idea, but I'm an idealist.

Then you should volunteer yourself and walk the walk.
Don't preach to me, Horn. I volunteered a ton of my time, my life, to the fire department. I had no social life at the time, but loved every second of it....
I think your planning would work, but it does take dedication. Few folks follow through with it.

I don't think so, I familiar with a ton of volunteer fireman wherever I go.
Typically I would just send my assistant,
but if he is preoccupied with assigned duties, I will show in a coordinator capacity.

Hmmm....you know, the most respected Chiefs of the fire dept, would be the first to grab the hose line and enter the burning building, leading the charge.
Sounds like you like to lead from behind, pointing fingers, directing.
You a bankster, Horn? Will we be voting on you on the next ballot?

Unless you are corrupt, then you have your henchmen, to do the dirty work.

If ether one of you can learn how to herd cats, then you will have something. Until that day, dream on, things will be the way they be, and hope there is enough rope handy when the time may come around.

What's your beef with volunteer firemen?
Is it that they always dream of forming a department so they can be Starfish Patricks?

Georgetown Police Chief Wayne Nero released a statement on Monday afternoon.
“As would be appropriate given the circumstances, I have fielded a number of phone calls and emails regarding the recent actions of Officer Bermudez as depicted in the circulating videos. After personally watching the videos, the actions of my officer are very concerning to me as well.”
Nero went on to say an Internal Affairs investigation would determine the appropriate discipline for Bermudez, who is a nine-year veteran of the department and won Officer of the Year in 2013. He was one of two officers on duty at Saturday’s game.

That cop's behavior is a symptom of a much much larger problem we face as a nation. It's called authoritarinanism. It's the ideology of the elites. The rules are what we say they are. You have no rights, and no guarantees of anything. The police are there to enforce our will, not to protect your rights. You will cower before the police, and beg them not to kill you. Outwardly you will pretend to believe you are free and you have rights. As long as the police are following orders, they cannot misbehave. We've done our best to prepare you for this in your basic education in the public schools. If you have a problem with any of this, better keep it to yourself. Your job is to conform and obey, and better watch what you say.

Looks like he gets a 40 day unpaid vaction after his current 45 day paid vacation.
Texas Cop Filmed Kicking High School Girls After Football Game Rewarded With Paid Vacation (http://informationliberation.com/?id=47671)
For the crime of violently assaulting a host of young high school girls and boys while they celebrated their team's victory after a soccer game, officer George Bermudez, the Georgetown, Texas police officer filmed carrying out this public assault (http://www.informationliberation.com/?id=47217) was essentially rewarded with a paid vacation.
The officer was placed on paid leave April 22nd, and only just now did the chief rule on his "punishment," a meager 40 day suspension without pay (http://www.statesman.com/news/news/local/georgetown-officer-suspended-40-days-after-trippin/ngD3F/). Considering the officer had been enjoying a paid vacation the last 45 or so days courtesy of local taxpayers, he'll pretty much break even and get another 40 days time off without having to do any work.
The police report noted Bermudez failed to take any responsibility nor blame for his actions during the initial investigation, only changing his tune during a "second round of interviews" in which he admitted he "acted inappropriately."
Fact is, the cop should have faced multiple assault charges, as any other person would have if he treated the cop in the same manner he treated others. Instead, his fellow "law enforcers" rewarded him with time off and paid leave.
