A little over a week ago I was relaxing, and thought to myself, this really is a nice comfortable t-shirt I am wearing. So, I took the shirt off, hanes beefy t. Nice thick cotton.
So I thought I'd see about ordering some of them online.
Turns out, you can buy them from Hanes directly, and they are only $4.99 a shirt. I ordered some, and they came in, fit great and comfortable.
Thought I'd pass this info on. I'm never over paying for a t-shirt again. Might make a good prep item too. Stock up while we still have internet before the EMP wipes everything out.

Thanks, T's and jeans are my standard uniform year round, I think I only own maybe 2 long sleeve shirts. Will look into this, not happy with what is out there, that wear a few times and holes magically appear.

yes they are a good shirt. I had some I got from a tourist place in the carribean. Excellent fit and feel. Lasted a long time as well. I wore holes in them eventually. Tried to get some more online but at that time could not find any one to ship down under.

T's and jeans for me too, 99% of the time. Also should point out, the sizing might be just a little too small. I fall right between xl and large, with large being too snug, and xl being a little to big. I usually settle for too big for comfort. However, the xl of these shirts seems to fit me perfectly. So, you may want to order a couple just to make sure the size is right.
I'll probably place another order for 20 shirts or so, and call it good for awhile.

Try hemp. It's a fuck load better and more comfortable. Also the pure GMO cotton crap is full of chemicals and great for cancer.
I really like these a lot, it's only $20 and has a secret pocket on the inside.

Dogman, you might need to order 2xl. I'm 5'10 at around 185 lbs. I can't imagine we share the same size shirt.
At $5 each maybe try ordering both sizes?

I like the hemp thoughts, and hitch, you maybe right so I think soon I will try both , ordering on the tad large size. All of these shirts have sizing in them, and after x times washing they shrink.

These shirts did shrink when I first washed them. I'm wide at the shoulders and just don't like a tight fit, and they shrank to a perfect size for me. At only $5 each though, what a bargain.
Shami, are those hemp shirts for a more lean fit? The guy in the picture is definitely a lot leaner than I am. I always have a hard time finding t shirts that fit right. If they are wide enough in the shoulders, they are too long for me. If they are the right length, too tight.

May go larger, I do like or did a tight fit, but for comfort a loose fit is better, I think tent!
LoL...

I'm semi-skinny and fit me perfect. They are similar to the shape of normal T-shirt, but the "feel" of them is COMPLETELY different. I just love the feel of hemp on my skin.
I'm wearing one of those shirts now in fact. They are by far my favorite shirts. The hemp is good at reducing odors naturally too and generally superior to cotton.
If you want just buy one and see if you like it or not. You can always buy more later.

Some hemp facts:
What is Hemp Fabric?
Hemp is often considered an environmental “super fibre”. Hemp fabric is made from the fibres in the herbaceous plant of the species cannabis sativa. It’s a high-yield crop that produces significantly more fibre per acre than either cotton or flax.
Advantages
Eco Print
Hemp creates one of the most eco friendly fabrics in the world. Hemp requires no pesticides, crowds out weeds without herbicides, controls erosion of the topsoil, and produces oxygen. It is a renewable resource that can be cultivated in as little as 100 days and is the world’s most versatile fiber.
Strong Fabric
Hemps’ tensile strength is eight times that of cotton fibre which accounts for its historical use in sails and rope for the British and American Navies. It is an exceptionally durable and strong eco friendly fabric.
Hypo-allergenic
Fabrics made from hemp are hypo-allergenic and non-irritating to the skin. Current tests indicate that hemp is able to kill staph and other bacteria that come in contact with its surface.
Feel of Fabric
Hemp has the look of classic linen and can have the feel (depending upon fabric blend) of your favourite flannel. Hemp materials will also soften with age and with each washing.
Great for hot weather
Like linen and cotton, hemp is a cool choice for summer. It breathes well. It is recommended for warm, humid climates as the fabric resists mildew and absorbs moisture.
UV Resistant
This eco fabric will also protect you from the sun with its UV resistant qualities.
Disadvantages
Like linen, hemp wrinkles easily and can be somewhat scratchy (depending upon the blend) so look for hemp blended with other fabrics to give it a softer hand.
Hemp is not colorfast so the colour is often not rich.
Caring for hemp fabric
Use cold water when laundering hemp fabrics. Chlorine bleaches aren’t recommended.
Typically, hemp fabric isn’t always colorfast. For that reason, wash dark colors separately. Or use a dye catcher sheet.
Allow hemp to air dry. Using a dryer can cause wrinkles and make it shrink.
Pure hemp can sometimes develop wrinkles. Just hang the garment up overnight so these can fall out. If you can’t wait, a touch-up ironing will be needed.
Assuming you can afford the cost, hemp can also be dry cleaned.

Shami, ordered one to try it out. I've always been curious about hemp products, so this will be a first for me.
Thanks for the recommendation.

At least by your description you are not super skinny, like I think silver art bar is..
At least you do not need to dance in the shower to keep from falling through the drain grate. ;)
Never seen him, other than pictures, do talk to him, he is skinny. Must need mesh over the drain to keep him safe.
LOL!

Nope, thicker framed guy here for sure. Mostly from lifting heavy weights, and work. Lately though, I've been trying to slim down a bit. Makes work easier actually, more limber, and I like feeling loose, and more flexible. Heavy weight training makes a man stiff, for sure.
If I could drop down to 175 lbs, loose 10 or so, that's my goal anyway. :)

Grin!
Art forgive me for my humor!

If you have a resale licence, you can pick up Beefys for under a buck fifty. Long sleeves aren't much more. Hoodies for next to nothing. I used to own a silk screen co and still have boxes I'm working through.

Shami, I just got that hemp t-shirt in, and it is by far the most comfortable t-shirt I have ever tried on. I'm wearing it right now. Fits great too. I can see why you like them, and I'll be ordering a few more in the future. I just want to make sure it's still this comfortable after a few washes.
Thanks for the recommendation!

I will follow the wash/dry instructions using cold water. Great to hear they hold up that long. The fabric just feels great on the skin, and I bet this shirt will be really comfortable in warm weather too, seems like it really breathes.
