I'm wondering if this development has anything at all to do with the previous Pope 'retiring'.

Would someone kindly offer their definition of 'legitimate' in this instance? (I have one which I'll share later, I want to hear others' definition(s) first)

First of all, while being raised a Catholic and believing it is the one true visible Church, the bride of Christ, that Christ established on this earth, I personally find it quite easy to just ignore the present anti-pope Francis and even ignore all the popes after Pope Pius XII. I have always noticed that people outside the Church always focus heavily on the Pope. If someone wants to criticize the current anti-pope, much fodder is certainly provided.

The Church has had a tradition of what it calls its "social teachings." However the contemporary batch of anti-popes are focused on a perversion of traditional social teachings and more on to the Marxist social welfare type mindset.

Michael Voris of ChurchMilitant.TV, formerly RealCatholicTV.com, did an excellent one-hour documentary, did many in fact, of exactly how the modern Church, especially USA Catholic Church, went down the Marxist road, the modernist heresy.

Anyway, one of the fairly modern social teaching theories among several well known Catholics (Hillaire Belloc, G.K. Chesterdon, Dorothy Day et. al) toyed with a theory called "distributism" as an "antidote" to Marxism and communism.

The official Church never gave its stamp of approval to any social teaching theory of any group of people, Catholics and otherwise, though the Church has always been against Marxism and socialism (including National Socialism (NAZIism) in any of its forms. The Church does not give its stamp of approval on any form of government or economic system or social system forms.

With that brief background, this current anti-pope is thorougly in with the Modernist forms of socialism such as we see in the "liberal" and Democratic influences today in the USA.

I would mention that Huey P. Long, the assassinated well know Louisiana senator proposed many "distributist" type ideas.

But most importantly, the New Testament actually describes something that looks very much like distributionism or communism. Mainly Acts Chapters 2 an 4. (The nuns and priests in Catholic religious orders often take a vow of poverty and they reside together and share all things in common based on these bible verses.)

But today, the Church is infiltrated with Marxists and Freemasons and Jews. It is called the heresy of "modernism." You can learn about how all of Christ's and St. Peter's teachings got perverted and subverted in those Voris videos I linked above.

There can be no "legitimate" distribution of excess wealth because the people at the top of the Church and our government are not true followers of Christ. They are conformed to this wicked materialistic consumerist atheistic world system and they are not willing to die to this world. But the martyrs who did die to this world and died for Christ and the gospel did more to help those of us trying to just hold on to our faith more than anything or anyone in our contemporary world.


So all of this idea about distributing excess wealth to the poor does have its genesis in what Christ and His apostles taught us, it is perverted and not His true teachings.

However, Christ's Church will not ever be completely taken over and infiltrated because Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord or Lords over all the universe. This is true no matter how much evil and destruction and horror take over our passing world system.
