For a long time I have been saying that the next war won't be about oil but about water.....well......the water war has reached my property. I have two water rights for the creeks water (a mile away) to come to my private property by way of a underground pipe in my neighbors property.....the other day he found that someone has tapped into my pipe from somewhere else so he cut their how and then got his bulldozer and pulled the entire soft hose away.......next day one of my neighbors across the street saw me walking my dog and came to me........"Hey Ponce? do you know if the guy behind you ran across a water hose by accident?", me "No I haven't spoken to him in a while", him "Yeah, I have been getting my water from back there and now I have none", me "Did he know that your water hose was on his property?", him "No".......of course I didn't say anything about his hose hooked up to my water pipe.
Yesterday he decided to walk his dog with mine (say what?) so I said to him "If the guy across the street from me wants my water for his marijuana plants once again he will work for me one day a week".....this guy lives next door so indirectly I was telling him what HE would have to do is he wanted my water.
I found out that three houses across the road from me have not water and I am wondering about the lady to my right. I see big trouble ahead in regards to water.......let's see what happens next.

Took my dog for a walk and I always have to go past their house, coming back there was the guy HIS WIFE (never seen her in 14 years) and their dog standing by the road and VERYYYYYYYYY friendly.....the wife "Helooooo Ponce, how are you", me "Great thank you, and you?"...I never stopped walking fast and I could see that they wanted to approach me but I didn't give them a chance.......they are like a dog going around in circle trying to take a shit......why don't they tjust ell me that they want to talk to me?

So 3 or 4 houses are without water because they are hooked up to your water? I don't get it, I know the one neighbor guy is but the ones across the street?

LOL Ponce.... you are one cold player.
When I saw you opened another waterwars thread, I expected to hear you planning to bottle your urine for future filtration. Water must be hard to find in that desert wasteland north of Death Valley.

Well gang, the house across from me got my water for some marijuana for two years, I give it away I don't use it.
To their right is another house with a big plantation, I really don't know where they are getting their water from but I suspect that they are (or were) getting their water from me.
And then the next house are this people who were stealing my water and had their water hose in the property behind mine without their permission.
You then have the house next to me, she has a big water tank but no well, so, where is she getting her water from?
Spec? my urine is to damn valuable to even sell it uffffffffffffff, almost as valuable as my tp hahahahahah

Thanks for the clarification. So why can't you sell it to them on a monthly billing cycle?

How deep do you need to drill to get water where you live?

If I "sell" them the water they could do something about it later on.
My water come by gravity and for free from a creek about a mile from me......around 35 pound pressure.

Why do you rely on that? Isn't it better to drill your own well?
How big of a pipe is there? Taps into that pipe will draw down the pressure.

And that's why I have a 500 and a 3,500 black storage water tanks, besides using it for house needs I also have for fire, it goes along my 1.5" water hose and my Honda water pump........also have two water sprinklers on my roof, when it gets to hot I turn them on to cool down my home..........they tried to find water here and next door, they went down about 300 feet with no luck.
In 2003 there was only about 1/8" of water in the creek but because I am the first one at the top I never lost water :)
The water pipe from the creek is 1/2"......35 lbs pressure is at my home........it goes into my big tank and then to the small tank and then to the garage where I use a filter and then into my home.......doing it for 14 years with no problem......correction, four times a year I have to go to the source at the creek to clean up the leaves and so on.

Half inch pipe won't run you a water supply for a mile.

In OZ most dont have access to water so what lands on the roof fills up tanks of water.
I have no pipe or well supplying me with water at all.
Water for gardens can come from small dams or ponds which when pumped out can go into a tank.
Ive thought recently that if they send a pipe past my place and charge me ,even if I dont use it ,that I will refuse to pay as with the addition of fluoride to this water it is not water anymore. I would not want it even if they paid me,basically.
When ever we have to buy water which isnt very often it has added choline also which is very noticeable and tastes foul.
People from the town dont really notice the difference as they have gotten used to it,unfortunately.

I'll check it out tomorrow to make sure and let you know...........I haven't seen it in a while, all underground.

In a half inch pipe going close to a mile and only 0.5gpm (typical garden hose flow might be 3-5gpm), you would have about a 34 psi pressure drop. So, if you have 35psi at your nozzle and still flowing strong, the upstream pressure would have to be about 70 psi. If the water is not pumped but gravity fed, that would mean the elevation difference would have to be 70(psi) * 27(in/psi head) = 1890 in or 157.5 feet higher than your location.
If you tried to pull 3gpm through that line, the pressure drop would be over 200psi.... meaning there is either a high pressure pump upstream or you are dropping the water from an elevation of 235 * 27 = 6345 in or 529 feet.
1/2 inch pipe would not cut it. Going to at least a 1-inch pipe would make a large difference, but if this is gravity fed, I bet you have at least 1.25 inch pipe.

If you were uphill from your water source one of these would be handy .... uses the water hammer effect to develop high pressure to pump to a higher elevation ... no other power source needed

OK, OK, stop beating me over the head........the pipe is 1.5 " and not 1/2"..............happy now?........and the natural water pressure is of 36.4

OK...since it is a sufficient size pipe, mind if I tap into it and share the excess water?

Only if you work for me one day a week, on that day I will use all my water to fill my water tank and do my grass and garden to be.
