Right now I have the forwarding for the domain name (RogueFuzz.com) set to go to the forums.

I prefer to have it go to the "intro page" - what is now at
http://s403998394.onlinehome.us/RogueFuzz/

and to have a link from there to the forums.

Anyway, I showed it to a young black kid in a mostly white town after I witnessed local police harass him at the local Internet cafe. Thought I might as well show it to you guys !

Unfortunately, the material for such a database, the simple listing of police violence incidents by region and other sorting criteria, is an incoming flood.

That's basically why I went ahead with it after thinking about it ... the story of police brutality in America is a sad story, which basically writes itself.

I have saved every such news piece I've come across, consistently, for about the last 5 years. Recently, archiving at the rate of about 2 a day ... and that's without even trying.

It will take a while to wade through that Humongous Hairball of unsorted information.

GunDriller,

I was actually working out the process for setting up my own domain doing something similar. Basically set it up like a wiki by state and city. Searchable for dirty cops, complaints, internal affairs investigations and out comes, verified personal interactions with the dirty cop etc. I lack the database knowledge and skills to make it happen.

just 5000 articles to upload.

using phpBB, 5 minutes per, ballpark.

25,000 minutes. 400 hours. 2 1/2 months.

i think part of the trick is getting the organization / forum structure right. then it evolves as you wade into the raw data.

"PLain Vanilla" police brutality inspired the start of the effort. e.g. that recent flash-bang incident that killed the baby.

but there are many other worthwhile topics that fall within the topic 'range' (police brutality, police state) - Snowden, 9-11, etc.

i don't expect to have the time to work on it much this summer. but like with many creative things, "you gotta start somewhere."
